I’m so happy, she just gets better and better. Been listening to her for 3-4 years now. She leaves space in the music but yet her writing so harmonically rich. She is amazing! I’m frustrated that she is not more recognized. … but happy she’s not commercialized..

Flats on that Jazzmaster. Respect.
@joermnyc

Michael Himes flats have to be on those, round strings pop out of the bridge saddles (though that looks like a different bridge than the original one on the Jazzmaster and Jaguar).
@michaelthimes
@michaelthimes 4 жыл бұрын
@@joermnyc I disagree. Flats do not have to be on jazzmasters or jaguars and thousands of players enjoy roundwound strings on their offsets - Elvis costello, Thurston Moore, J Mascis, Kevin Shields and Kurt cobain to name a few. Of course the Mastery bridge was invented to overcome the issue you describe which is more likely to happen with aggressive playing and before it, a mustang bridge was the common retrofit. For what it's worth - the bridge in question looks like tune-o-matic style bridge which looks to be stock on that particular model. Maybe it's a roller style - hard to tell.

Wow! My worlds are colliding! I've been a huge fan of Madison since hearing her on Prairie Home Companion years ago. She's just gotten better since then. To find her on this here channel, where I come for gear history and advice, is amazing! Great interview, loved the music, everything really. One of the best shows I have ever seen was when Juana Molina played a small club in Chicago -- touring for Un Dia around 2009. Intricate rhythms, looping pedals, unorthodox percussion instrumentation. I was hooked. I played the track featured here by Madison for my 4-1/2 year old daughter earlier today -- she may be hooked, as well. Fantastic episode!

Damn, I love this artist so much ! I mean, songs like "L.A. (Looking Alive)", "Pin it down" or "L.A. (Looking Alive)" are masterpieces, each in a very singular way. Her guitar playing is phenomenal and makes a so perfect ensemble with her voice. In a time of too clean and sweet music, I love the tension, the dynamic of her harmonies and riffs. The best discovery for ages in the music I listen to. Maybe could we have her in concert in south France after the Covid time ? That would be my 2021 wish...
