Psshhtt. Go to The Gear Page. Plenty of nagativity there and other f-rums and groups, too. They're usually stuck on his politics/support of certain groups and people, something he did a few years ago, or that he's just copying other people's stuff, tweaking a few component values, and renaming it. Threads will go hundreds of pages. Smdh. It's usually all pretty ridiculous.

@@MannysWorldd I also learned a lot from JHS about pedals, tones, a bunch of other companies, which lead me into other channels, where I learned even more. I used to use my Line 6 POD HD Pro, but I spent more time tweaking than playing. It's been difficult creating great tones on it, because I didn't really have a reference tone. But when I built my first pedalboard ever at the start of 2020 (it has grown since then), I have been able to find my base tone, embellish it a bit, but also go crazy with a bunch of effects. It's a much simpler setup than a digital modeller gives, there's no option paralysis, but I've still got a lot of versatility.

It is because of your KZbin channel that I have more JHS pedals than any other brand (8 and counting). It is refreshing to see a pedal manufacturer heap praise not only on their pedals, but on others' products as well, particularly those that may cost less than your own. And have a sense of humor and honesty about it. Great channel, great products. Thanks.

I love all the white space on the series 3 pedals and that you can draw on them with markers. I think you should do an episode where you have elementary school kids come in and draw on each of the pedals, giving them keywords like Fuzz, crunch, waves, chorus, etc. Then, you can auction off the pedals and give the profits to a non-profit for music education.

The show is clearly for fun, and it shows as a viewer. Side note, Josh, you remind me of one of my best friends in high school, it’s unreal. He was so charismatic in a unique way, goofy, and genuine-that’s why everyone loved him. The people that didn’t, were not charismatic, unique, goofy, or genuine. They were afraid to be anything “different” (than the stale original lays potato chips that they were)… So uh, you’re a sweet Maui onion chip? The comment about Josh’s guitar playing made me laugh. Because anyone with even an inkling of musical knowledge knows Josh plays catchy hooks and great riffs - on any genre, and in what must be hundreds of sketches considering the number of jams they do. I totally agree. There is a bazilion of other channels, who just play the generic Blues/Rock-Riffs and I can't bear them. It's not only that they disgrace the quality of the pedals, they also do damage to the reputation of guitar music in general. It's 2022 and you're on YT and you're not B.B. King or Albert Collins or Keith Richard. On this channel, I always have the feeling, that the players are LIKING WHAT THEY DO and that they play and explore similar stuff without viewers or a small stage. Painting it white with black 'generic trash' anti-graphics is an insult 2 the customer. it doesn't cost more 2 do it in 'pro' style like black box with some bright color 4 the labeling & stuff. The 'Sansamp' look nice even though very 'cheap' style 2 make = just simple black with yellow lines.

@@antihero0101 Black background with yellow graphics is FUNCTIONAL = clear, easy to read, & gets out of the way = disappears =) If something is going 2 B a light color, it should be fancy looking, not 'boring industrial'. The cost of doing white is the same as black, but looks ugly because black does not draw attention whereas white does, saying 'look at me! I'm purposely designed to look as cheap & cheesy ugly ridiculous as possible like 'generic milk' =)) If they simply made their 'budget brand' with BLACK boxes and yellow or beige lettering (Sansamp style) would look nice & 'pro' for a great value price = but that is not their goal. The light blue 'pair of socks' pedal or whatever makes people RESIST the very IDEA of owning it = doesn't 'inspire' you to do 'edgy guitar solos'. Looks more like some kind of 'cooking ingredients box' LOL 'Paul Gilbert Blueberry Cream Jello' pedal? HAHAHA I'm not saying he is in some 'failing business model' no = lots of '$uccess', but he could have way MORE if his stuff wasn't all so LAAAAME in visual design & name choices =) Where is the 'SoulCrusher / DoomGod' pedal 4 instance? It's not that hard =D His $hit is like Danelectro without the 'retro diner vibe' = like just a generic red box & calling it 'cinnamon toast' = stupid. Now, if it's shaped like an old car, or a toaster, then that's 'cute & funny' in an artistic way, not a dorky 'I just don't give a fuk & want 2 B goofy' way. Maybe JHS could start a 'sister brand' made wherever cheap place in Asia or something, with FLASHY design or simple black box design, & use more interesting names. I would suggest those cool 'colored aluminum' type 'extruded' boxes from Fleabay, with 'mini' design & names like 'Twang King Surf Box' or something, with a picture of a wave & a surf board &/or crown. It's so E Z 2 make something NICE instead of just 'goofy'. When U stare at the cute little 'surf box' in shiny 'aluminum blue' it makes U think of the ocean & the whole 'vibe' 2 help inspire, rather than 'The JHS My First Pencil Sharpener Overdrive' with a picture of a pencil being sharpened on the orange box = WTF? =))

To the point of your show being family friendly. I check in on my 73 year old mother quite frequently during a week. This is one of the few shows I watch with her when I visit. She thoroughly enjoys watching. In fact I’d say it’s one of her favorite contemporary shows to watch. In a time when TV and movies are just unwatchable, this show is something we can enjoy watching together. I thank you for that. Music was something that she made sure to support me with when my guitar journey started way back in the early 90s. Keep it guys.

Great show guys. As Fred Rogers used to say, “ You know, there’s only one person in the whole world like you. And I like you just the way you are.” There’s a great quote from President Roosevelt called, The man in the arena. It’s about a paragraph long and it’s worth your time to read it. IMO- A lot of critics are arm chair quarterbacks with zero skin in the game. Josh and the gang make great pedals. And he promotes other makers pedals. He’s the man!

The Toby Flenderson comment actually cracked me up. Josh doesn't really look like Toby, but his voice is eerily similar. If I close my eyes, I can picture Michael squirming in his seat in the conference room, about to freak out from boredom, as Toby explains the differences between soft clipping and hard clipping diodes.

Josh, I love your channel! I find it very refreshing that a company owner would talk about and even sometimes recommend other companies pedals. The very first video I saw of yours was the one on JOYO pedals and how theyre actually not bad for what they are. I was researching pedals because at 48, Ive decided to revisit a childhood dream of mine to play guitar and having a love of electronics to boot, pedals just fascinate me. All that led me to buy over 20 pedals before Ive even learned how to play. Granted I bought a bunch of either used good name brand pedals and some cheaper ones like JOYO and Donner because Im fascinated with all the different sounds. I havent even really started playing yet and Im having a ball just playing with pedals and their sounds. Dont have any JHS pedals yet but Id be happy to buy some later on down the line eventually just to support your company because of your live and let live mentality. Ive never understood the people that say this is good or this is bad when it comes to music or art. I like to say, this isnt for me but if it floats your boat then keep on doing what you like! Music/Art is completely subjective, IDK why a lot of people dont seem understand that. Anyway, keep up the good work and the positivity of this channel!!!

This show is the best entertainment anywhere! I mean, where else can I experience top level knowledge about the most important subject on the planet, pedals, and where the same people laying down the knowledge are capable of improvising jam after jam? Okay wait. Back up. How many people are improvising music live online, period? How many people that criticize you guys are capable of doing that? I would venture a guess of maybe 1% at best. The rest need to shut up because they don't know anything and don't matter. As for knowledge of pedals, I don't need to explain to the haters of pedals how wrong they are. They are not worth my energy or time. Those of us who understand the basic need for pedals as a fact of life are the only ones that are worthy of a show of this caliber. Keep up the great work and keep on rockin'! And Turtles Rule!!!! -- Violet Moon

Some of the messages are just too quotable. lol This went exactly how I figured and I'm happy to see that. I'm always tuning in and out when I see another great informative video on company history that I'm interested in. The things like "he has the box" are just icing on the cake. Guys, I used to play guitar since I was a kid. In my teens I used a Digitech multi-effect that was super affordable and wasn't very good. After 15 years I sort of moved on and didn't really play for a few years. Two years ago my daughter was born and there was a time, when she only would sleep on my chest while I was sitting on the couch. So she would sleep and I was awake in the middle of the night and had nothing to do. Then the youtube algorithm lead me to one of your videos, I don't remember wich one, but honestly: Josh, you got me hooked on my guitars again! I started playing in a band again, sold the crappy Digitech and started building a proper pedalboard. My first JHS pedal was the 3 Series Chorus and then I just had to get the Muffuletta. You guys are amazing, quirky, funny, weard and loveable!
