Meta Knight doesn't send enemies Kirby's way to hold his progress. He sends them to make him better, to indirectly train him. He would never send an enemy Kirby's way that he didn't think Kirby couldn't handle. AND if there IS an enemy that he knows is too much, or a situation that he knows Kirby cannot solve on his own, THAT is when he helps/intervenes. He will only help if it is absolutely necessary. All other instances where he seems to be "evil", his hidden motive is to make Kirby a better fighter and help him. Never to hault Kirby's progress.

What I love about Meta Knight most (besides everything) is his duality. As kids, we were so used to good vs evil. black vs white. But the Kirby franchise kinda shuts that down. Dedede is being controlled if he's not doing something that's meant to help, and Meta Knight was always so... grey. He never felt like a hero, but he never felt like a villain either. He was somewhere in between. He had his reasons for what he did, and those reasons made sense. I think people give the Kirby franchise FAR too little credit.

Meta Knight is basically what we're all like. Kirby's Waluigi, in a way. We can all relate to him in some way, and he never really does heroic goods... Or evil bads... He's just a puffball trying to find out who he is, really, just like all of us. I never really have understood myself, and maybe that's a good thing. Maybe our lives are to find out who we are. I don't know... Right now, I'm just a normal kid who has too much homework for tomorrow and who wants to play video games and maybe feel a bit happier. Most people don't understand each other, but in some weird way, we all are the same, but different at the same time. I think something interesting about Meta Knight is that he is recognized by his sword Galaxia to be a worthy wielder. In some way, it reminds me of the whole sword-in-the-stone thing. It also makes you wonder what makes him worthy of carrying such a powerful weapon, especially when his intentions can often be confusing.

Meta knights purpose in the kirby franchise was not to teach a lesson to young players, but to train kirby in the ways of a star warrior. Kirby is yet but a child, and meta knight is an experienced warrior, handing down his knowledge to the next generation of his kind in hopes that someone else would also be strong enough to protect dreamland. Kirby still has a lot to learn in this aspect, such as whn meta knight stole the chest merely to save kirby, he knew he didnt have time to explain, and to act fast. Every time meta knight battles you, its usually for a training purpose to make kirby stronger, but meta knight has to be holding back. The only time that wasnt training was in kirby super star, when the halberd was falling, he wanted to stop kirby from escaping with what he did. That being said, meta knight is only but a harsh trainer to kirby, knowing that kirby has to learn somehow, and keep kirby's learning at a steady pace, otherwise kirby wouldnt be capable of protecting dreamland. If you watch kirby right back at ya episodes 3 and 4, it may make more sense.

I’ve read about a Kirby themed cafe in Japan that says Meta Knight enjoys sweets as much as Kirby but, he eats them when no ones watching because he’s ashamed. This, plus his defeat animations, got me thinking. Does Kirby really defeat him (knock him out like other bosses) or is Meta Knight just ashamed of his cutesy appearance that he leaves anytime his face is exposed? Also wondering if his deep voice is natural or is it a product of the mask he wears that, along with making him look menacing, makes it sound deep. Edit: Also notice in Meta Knight’s Revenge that once you “defeat” him he leaves when his face is exposed only to show up soon after with a new mask still fighting.

Awesome video! I really enjoyed it. To think that there is no middle ground, turns out, there is: The Grey area. Meta Knight truly is that mysterious and unique in the Kirby series and not to mention Dark Meta Knight and Galacta Knight, as well. Personally, I prefer to see meta knight as a character who is training Kirby through out the games. Like Kirby’s Adventure For The NES for example, Like Conner Said, Meta Knight Summons Enemies, But also gives him Invincibility Candy, as well as giving him a sword for when you fight him. In the anime, meta knight doesn’t fight Kirby because of swordsmanship or anything like that, he’s more of a mentor in the anime since he is there when Kirby has a major or new fight to observe his apprentice, usually helping him. The only time he actually fought Kirby in the anime is because he was set to duel him thanks to king Deedeedee since Deedeedee wanted to know Kirby’s weakness. In the games, meta knight appears as a boss and gives Kirby a sword for her more training with the sword ability. This is what I understand anyway since Kirby Star Allies came out. When you go to fight meta knight, he duels you and your friends. He will offer a sword or you can use whatever copy ability you have. I take the sword for a better duel, but Meta Knight will slash and use his signature sword beam to fight Kirby. These can be parried if you slash with your sword once close enough.

He seems to be ignoring a lot of facts. Like even his boos fight AI reveals details about him. Most the time he gives you a sword then proceeds to have an honorable duel with you, implying he is training Kirby, he just won't reveal his intentions. However, in Kirby Squeak Squad he offers no weapon and fights much more ferociously than ever before. Why? Because he isn't training Kirby in this fight, this time he is actually trying to win. His actions in the tv show imply the same deduction. Eventually, he learns that Kirby doesn't need more training, and he begins to aide him instead, thus is the events of games like Return to Dreamland. Personally I think Meta Knight is of the same species as Kirby. I think Kirby's species can take different abilities as children, but once they become adults they must pick an ability to keep permanently, and Meta Knight's choice was Sword. i'd say meta knight is part of kirby's species. as he grew up,he was inhaling and copyng and testing copy abilities. eventually,he decided to stick with a single ability. but can't tell whether it's wing or sword. but not all members of kirby's species eventually stick wit a single ability,but some do. i'd even go so far as to say susie is a kirby who chose esp. well,and she evolved to look more humanoid,just like creeparka-chan the evolved creeper.

Actually in the Anime, he only fights Kirby because he is a loyal subject of Kind Dedede. He wants Kirby to learn and grow as a star warrior, just as Meta Knight had. Of course, Meta Knight also still gave Kirby a chance by giving him a sword in the Anime too. However, Meta Knight tends to just sit out, most of the time, even when there's disaster at hand. He spectates and comments on Kirby, usually when Kirby gains a new ability by inhaling an opponent.

When he wants to take over dream land because everyone was lazy he wanted to train everyone so that when other villians come the whole of dream land can fight together with kirby
