Mobius 1 is the Ace of Aces. The hands down best pilot of the series. I like to think he trained Trigger.

THE Ace of Aces. I love Mobius one, by far my favorite character in the series till this day! I would like to think so as well, but Trigger could have possibly gotten his training from someone else. It's nice to think about though! I wish we'd know what he's today, probably staying away from combat lol

mobius one was the last member of his squadron by the time of the first in game mission, the other mobius units at the end of the game are just the pilots that had been flying with you since mission one and where re-assigned to your command. also mobius one is the only member of the 118th tactical fighter squadron since he is as strong as a whole unit by himself. the other modius units we see where the other pilots re-organized into the 117th tactical fighter squadron and assigned to support the 118th.

I used to think that the mobius squadron at the megalith was just a recently formed squadron of pilots flying insignia F-22s so that the enemy wouldn't know which plane was Mobius 1. An enemy pilot also said "not all of them are aces."

I'm of the opinion that Mobius 1 had no squadron, and that the top pilots of the other squadrons were consolidated under the Mobius callsign for the final mission. I recall many of the voices sounded like other allied pilots from previous missions. The Yellow Squadron was dumbfounded to find out that there were now multiple ribbons.

The X-02 wasn’t originally intended as an unmanned aircraft. Those specific ones were modified to be unmanned. In-universe, development of the X-02 started back in 1987 in order to create a counter to the F-22

I always assumed that the Moebius Squadron from the last mission of AC04 was assembled specifically for that mission to capitalize on Moebius 1's reputation. They weren't an existing squadron that had just been slacking off for the rest of the war.

That's what I loved about Ace Combat 4 so much. They put a lot of emphasis on not only Mobius 1, but just how important his squad was as well.

I have a theory that all the aces you play as in the game aren't actually people but more like mythical deitys, most of the aces are razgriz itself, showing up during times or crisis to prevent cataclysms and then disappearing till the next crisis arises, because after their appearances their actions are generally never mentioned again, as if everyone had completely forgotten about them. I think Mobius 1 himself is meant to represent a guardian angel coming down to intervene in the continental war and save as many people as possible before disappearing once his work his done, in ace combat 7, despite how much fame and notoriety he would have had, in every instance where operations in ace combat 4 are mentioned Mobius 1 Is never even mentioned once, as if he doesn't exist despite him being recognized as a hero by an entire continent. I don't think anyone remembers because he wasn't a human in the first place and wiped the memories of his intervention in the conflict from people's minds, same goes for all the other pilot's in the series but they're razgriz incarnations. Except maybe Pheonix, I think he might also be a sort of guardian angel.

Nemo is more like of a destructor of the worlds since he could exactly access people's minds and purge them or distort reality as he (Simon) wishes. Even Dision, in breaking the 4th wall way, his aircraft directly staring at you saying that you are the game's true enemy. The monster who kept resetting and delaying reality for your only best outcome.

I’m a commercial pilot, and the question comes up often..”what got you into flying?” Most people answer…my family has pilots, or I flew in the armed forces..ect. My answer has always been “video games” haha. But when I think about the specific games that inspired me to learn to fly, it hands down is AC4. I played countless hours of that game as a boy. It was such an inspiring game to play, being mobius 1 and totally obliterating everything..and to a great story and beautiful soundtrack. I still play, in the background when I fly, the AC4 OST. Feels like a full circle moment

I have this feeling he might’ve not been an active war pilot at all, had it not for ISAF desperate to get any able pilot in the air to shoot the impending bomber. He seems like the guy who joins out of necessity rather than lust for battle. After Shattered Skies, all his skirmishes have always been with SkyEye making me think that he only gets into battle if his old Brother-in-Arms ask him...

100% agreed. I think even as a pre-order bonus it would be nice to see Ace Combat 4 make a return once again! The downside to this though is that Project Aces is having trouble since trademarks and licenses have changed with the aircraft manufacturers. That's why they couldn't even put out Ace Combat 5 as an official re-release :[

The thing with Reaper in AC 4 and Infinity is like Kei Nagase Nagase is in almost every Game no matter the dimensions... You keep saying Flight Squadron There are two kinds of formations, squadron and flight, a squadron is typically made up of 4-5 flights, there is no such thing as a "Flight Squadron" I think you're mixing up "Flight" and "Squadron" and confusing the two with "Fighter Squadron" which is a specific flight group.

IMHO, Cipher trumps Mobius One and takes the title of the “true ace” in the Ace Combat franchise, simply because of the fact that Cipher faced ten times more elite squadrons who were all aces (and which was extremely difficult to beat in the gameplay too, to be fair), besides losing two wingmen, being betrayed by his own buddy, nuked at, cursed upon for being a mercenary by friends and foes, not to mentioned the amount of missions he went through if you include all the enemies from mercenary, soldier, knight missions (which in the storyline implies he faced them all) and beat one of the best aces around, his own buddy and his enemy, solo wing Pixy. Cipher in my opinion is the ace of all aces. And he did it all in an F-15C Eagle as opposed to F-22. Cipher is on God level or shall we say Demon level.
