to me, it's "high maintenance" either way - if there are things you "have to" do to be good going out the door, or getting ready for something - especially if they take a significant amount of time BUT, if you're doing the maintaining, you're not selfish about it I can't stand folks who think it's everybody else's JOB to make sure their hair, and nails, and whatever else is to their liking - or they don't appreciate a gift that isn't a name brand, or doesn't cost a certain amount - that's when it becomes materialistic, and gross when someone does it for you, that should be a nicety, bcz they want to treat you - not bcz you're unhappy if they don't do it all the time of course there's nothing wrong with wanting to be pretty, and soft and "snatched" most of the time - that's a preference - as long as it doesn't get in the way of LIVING your life lol most ladies I know who are about that life don't let it stop them from going out without hair and makeup etc. - like Jackie said, BALANCE I have never been that girl - cause I have neither the money, time, or patience lol I shaved my head a few yrs ago bcz I was tired of doing HAIR every day - and now I hate it when it grows back lol so much easier to just get up and go and while I love the look of all the pretty stuff - I can't be bothered to maintain it all - I don't like the feeling of being "trapped" for the sake of looks - and hell, I want a house, with land one day lol - spending money on things I'm not gonna use isn't practical for me

10:25 I actually do this in NYC (especially in Queens or The Bronx) on residential streets with less traffic. Reason being parking is hard to find and by the time I make a Uturn or whatever to try to park in the direction of traffic the space will already be gone. I've seen people do this alot in the south as well because there is not a ton of traffic so its not as risky.
