I’ll always LOVE this unique woman. A true one off artist. A trained opera singer with a big heart deeply embedded in punk. No one will ever come close to her, ever. RIP. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I wish X-Ray Spex could have gone on continuously for years, but it’s obvious from this that after only a year Poly was at the burnt out “jaded Elvis in Vegas” stage. It’s a shame she didn’t get the proper mental healthcare she needed.

Marianne was the best ever, she predated modern opinions about things like genetics (mRNA/plastics/recycling/pollution/consumerism/a throw-away society/the fashion industry etc) and look no phones at all in sight! ;-)

Very inspiring. I wish a similar profile of Su Tissue from Suburban Lawns had been done before she disappeared. I feel it would have been in the same vein and equally inspiring.

I ❤ed Polystyrene, she and X Ray Spex were unique in Punk, their songs were more relatable and understandable, some of the other punk groups were just a screaming din! Their songs were relevant then and in some respects even more relevant today. People were more genuine in the 70s, unlike today, but poor Polystyrene sadly she had emotional/mental health issues and found it difficult to cope with the attention and fame.😢

Oh God no wonder 😢she hated it! Having crazy fans trying to kiss her afterwards! Her band mates preying them off. I understand now why she was so turned off by fame. It wasn’t like it is today with security guards and bouncers. Poor girl with through it.

I think it was a mistake they fired Lora Logic as at least she’d have another woman in the band. It must have been weird with all guys all the time, although they were protective of her.

She was named as one of the greatest singer's of all time, by the rolling stones. Honestly I believe they made a mistake. I mean she was pretty, smart, and seemed to be truly kind but the greatest singer of all time, that's pushing it big time.

Rolling stones placed Poly Styrene at number 195, as one of the greatest singer's of ALL TIME. I'm sorry but Rolling stones employees, y'all have lost your marbles because this woman shouldn't of made that list. She was beautiful, seemed kind and sweet but come on now, the greatest singer of all time, that's pushing it big time.

Out of 200 in rock that seems fine - she was a unique, revolutionary voice in rock music. Sure there’s thousands of technically better singers lined up for a Simon Cowell show, but not as interesting.
