Julia, thanks so much for your kind reply. I am so glad I found your channel. I have been really enjoying your videos and I enjoy your friendly straight forward approach to card making that is not filled with gimmicks nor trying to sell products. I asked you a few videos ago where you were from because your lovely accent reminds me of a very dear friend who lives in North Carolina. It is very interesting to me how certain people come to be friends. I got to know my friend Sue through the Red Hat Society. They had a sort of "chat board" and Sue and I would get to talking and sharing bits and pieces of our lives. Within a couple of months we exchanged our emai addresses. Our friendship went on this way for about 7 years, amazingly. Then my husband and I planned a short trip to the US and I contacted her to see if her and her husband would would like a chance to meet up in person. Happily the answer was yes. What a wonderful time we had together the four of us. She has been a wonderful friend and I am so grateful to have found her. It's a shame that distance keeps us apart. Anyway, sorry for rambling on and on. Thanks so much for your informative and friendly videos. Kimd regards. 😊🇨🇦

I have seen some Red Hats in this area! What I find in Life is this - if you reach out and someone reaches back, then in that moment of connection there is a Gift. Sometimes as you say it lasts for years, other times it is just for that moment. But it connects us in a labrinth of humanity that can be truly amazing! Several of my channel followers leave comments on a regular basis here and over on the facebook page, and I cherish every one.

Hi Susie, saw your video on faux vellum from paper napkins. Love your channel and subbed. We just moved from MD>OH (retired) and just getting my craft room back in order. TFS such great tips.

You are so welcome - I think using napkin backs for faux vellum is a total game changer. It just makes them so very useful! I'm glad you found the channel - Welcome!! There is a lot of great content on already to back watch if you like and have time. Currently I am in the midst of a major move and life change so new videos are a bit sporadic. But bear with me and I will see you soon!

I just found you and am really enjoying you and your cards. You and me are neighbors. Virginia and Tennessee. I’m working on my Christmas cards right now, but am seeing some cute ideas from you for the future. I’ve also subscribed to your channel as well. Keep up the good work. PS I love your accent! Joan

I just found your videos when I looked for cardmaking with scraps. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your videos. I am starting with the oldest ones and moving forward. I love making cards, and most of the videos I can find now are on junk journals. I enjoyed making a few but what do you do with them when you have given them to everyone you know? So I am back to cardmaking, and your videos are helping me get back in the groove! Thanks for sharing. I have subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to new ones. And by the way, I am a senior too, will be 81 in August and I still love to learn new things.

I just found your channel today. I make junk journals and tags but I want to start making cards too. I’m from nc, I have no idea where you are from but it wouldn’t surprise me to find out you’re from nc because I hear your accent!❤

We're neighbors - I am currently in Tennessee, in the process of moving to North GA Mountains. Welcome to My Channel - it's wonderful that people are still finding me! This move is a marathon, so I am not putting out any new videos at the moment - but there is a lot of great content on the channel already so backwatch some if you like! See you soon!!

What a meant by pound of card stock? Ex. 60,80,100? I’m newbie? Ty

Hi B - Welcome to cardmaking!! The pound number is how heavy the card stock is supposed to be. I prefer to look at GSM scale rather that pound scale. Some 100 lb cardstock is not particularly heavyweight but GSM scale seems more consistently reliable. My card stock bases are 216 gsm/80lb and they have a really nice sturdy but not too heavy feel. And they hold up well and fold well. This is the cardstock I purchase for bases and the top layer - smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JGGQIVI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
