I came across Nova the same way you did, she’s younger than me but she’s my idol and if I had a daughter, I’d let her be an idol for her too. Nova’s talent is limitless, I don’t think I can be more amazed by her and she keeps proving me wrong and I love it! I only follow reactors who truly seem to care about the artists and your channel is the only one I follow for a videographer. I came across Tom through his song Snowflake and been here for him ever since.

Wishing well is directed at her old label (according to Nova's Twitter) and those who gave her sympathy and well wishes, especially as they was the same people who lifted her up only to drop her! This is a great video and I particularly like that it's shot in black and white, which probably emanates from the lyrics "Killing all the parts of me that learned to dream in color". Great reaction and breakdown of the technical aspects, love your nuggets of information.

Pretty sure this is the first song she wrote after being dropped from the label. She didn't make music for a really long time. Her whole album scared of heights is virtually about that stuff. She did that in 2021, the money she made off that paid the label back what she owed so she could be separated from them completely. Wishing well came before all that. But it is such a dope song.

When Nova was with Def Jam, she really got close to some people there that were with her on the daily. When she realized they were just as bad as all the higher ups, it destroyed her. They all really did put their knives in her back (I believe that is what the second verse is about because she has talked about those people before. Heartbraking to hear).
