For those wondering how Superboy Prime is so incredibly powerful, remember, he’s from the Silver Age of Comics and to my knowledge wasn’t affected by any of the reboots. And in the Silver Age, Superman could do practically whatever he wanted.

When they do bring Superboy-Prime back I hope the writers make him a hero. Superboy-Prime outlash is just a comicbook fans anger over poor lazy story telling of his favorite heros. In Superboy-Prime mind heros are always right and villains are always wrong. A clear cut of black and white not gray. I know it won't be easy for Superboy-Prime to atone for what he did, but it can be done. I don't like the ideal of making Superboy-Prime a villain just to be a villain to sell comicbooks. Superboy-Prime story needs to grow and move on to a better place for Superboy-Prime in the DC universe.

No, new 52 is a part of pre-flashpoint superman and vice versa. They fused into a single person and also the 2 Lois lanes, one from new 52 and pre-flashpoint. It was pretty trippy because Mr. Mxyptlk was also there. I forgot which issue it was but it happened in the 2016 issue of Superman(if I remember the issue correctly).

Also, the current superman is indeed pre-flashoint because convergence, The final days of Superman and the comic I just mentioned. The only retcon was flashpoint and it's connection with superman on why he split into 2. In no way does it imply that new 52 Superman is Superboy-prime due to those comic issues I brought up.

I know Superboy Prime has a LOT of people who dislike him, me I like villains that have a nontraditional goal (in my mind that's power, wealth and revenge) and Prime fits that very well. Superboy Prime,Captain Atom/Monarch,Orion,Black Racer are among my favorite character in DC comics.Whenever it comes to maining characters,I always like to go after OP but psychologicaly flawed and sympathetic characters and a bit out of the norm concept as of the other flagship characters and boyscouts like Superman Batman Flash etc

I actually like connor Kent's death line after he died trying to stop superboy prime (it worked for a minute and looked like he saved the day but didn't last long afterward): "You saved the day Connor", "I know Cass, isn't it cool?". It's just so cheesy and not heroic. It also sounds kinda natural in that it REALLY doesn't sound like a badass dying line he rehearsed. Sounds like a last minute "cool my plan worked and I saved the day, I may be dying, but at least everyone else is safe" and not "O, woe, for I am departing this mortal coil" or anything. It's a badass death with a dorky deathline instead of the overplayed badass speech.

wouldnt locking him in the source wall eventually ( after shattering his mind enough times and finaly preparing his body and mind) give him the necessary intellect and ( subsequently) the power to do anything you figure it gave Luthor access to the anti- life equation after a mere 10 minutes. Moreover, it being the source of all super powers and other such things inevitably bestow him with such absurd powers and abilities hell with enough influence he could rewrite everyting ( more so then what occurred in this issue).
