@traehignight3642 My guess is, during the first season up until it's first season finale, Light was supposedly killing only criminals until he took out L because he was too close to the truth and in L's final breath he had already knew who Kira was but too late thinking Light would just stop all while using people to further his goal of being "a savior" to mankind. And in the second season, Light just didn't care who he used trying to take out M including his own father, traumatizing his mom and sister, using Misa and the other female, and that one guy who was obsessed with him. And when he was found out in the end, he bragged about having a God complex but still thinking he was helping the world by killing people he felt were not worthy. Sorry for the long opinion.

Nobunaga told Gon Uvo's story about how they knew each other since before the troupe and that they were best friends and what not and to tell him anything he can to catch the chain bastard while crying in anguish. The members are all about robbing and killing without a shred of remorse and here Nobu was talking about some sort of justice in getting revenge. The thing is that while Gon used Nobu as a generalization of the troupe, that mostly just applied to him. And he eventually escapes temporarily and then dies. But the Manga is more brutal, he begs for help from anyone and everyone, Hell even Teru Mikami thinks he's pathetic at this point. Light's God Complex is what ruined any moral standing he had. Sure, maybe what he thought he was doing was for the right reasons but, per my favorite moment out of the entire series, when L challenged him on national tv just to provoke Light's petty arrogance in himself to react, that's when he lost. If his goal was truly, purely to rid the world of evil, he never would have been provoked by that petty act.

Eren isn't even a hypocrite. He's in a position where he's embraced himself as the bad guy. His conversation with Reiner says it all, where he says that understood and that he's the bad guy now. So why is he on the list? (SPOILERS) Okay, let me clarify why I don't look at Eren as a hypocrite. Because there are some decent reasons. (This goes up to the end of S4 P2) 1. Let's me word this better. From the beginning, Eren sought after one thing, freedom. This is a dream and goal that he shared with Armin and he actively fought for that. Most people are turned off by the fact that he wanted to eradicate Humans, however, this is not much different than his original method to gain freedom, Titans. It's quite literally the same goal: "I won't stop until all Titans on this planet is eradicated." - "I won't stop until all the Humans on this planet is eradicated." He realized that his actual enemies were the Humans, that created the Titans, drove them to the Walls, and actively went to kill both him and his people. A solid reason to switch targets. But the reason why I'm claiming he's no hypocrite is that he never changed his thought process. He sought after freedom and even became a slave and a monster to it. 2. In his discussion with Reiner, he showed the development of understanding of what he became and what it took to gain his freedom. He had the blueprints laid out for that, and he followed it. In his discussion, he would say things like: "I'm the bad guy, just like they say. I just might destroy the world." - "I'm the same as you Reiner." - "You did it to save the world." In this discussion, Eren alludes to the fact that he is willing to destroy the world, and even his friendships to save and free them. Even if he hates it. There is no contradiction in these statements, as he wholeheartedly believes his words and acts on them. Again, he has the same goal and method as before. Nothing changed. 3. Once again, nothing changed. He picked many of the wrong choices, he tried to eradicate the rest of humanity, and he became an overall terrible person by societal standards. But, his actions did not contradict his goals. He allowed his actions to back his words, and the only thing that felt contradictory was his feelings. As he felt regrets. When have you heard of Eren claiming to have moral standards and acting the opposite? The closet was when he was talking to Zeke about Euthanization. But even then, why would he choose to Euthanize the people he wants to save? When Mikasa came to him and told him about his actions and how he couldn't turn back, all he did was stare at her with this cold expression on his face. Edit: Why is Itadori here? 😭 Edit: Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Essentially, hes the reason why Gon is in the journey in the first place and why is he acts the way he does today. And even raised the fox bear cub. That's how much of an impact this left on him. This is in the first chapter of the manga. Plus, the phantom troupe basically genocides an entire minority group whi are hated for their eyes for money. Light didn't even kill anyone that the police didn't catch. The guy was just going through prisoner lists and taking them out; those names he wrote down had to come from from public and/or police documents. The only time he killed an active criminal was when he took out that guy he saw on TV with the hostages, and the other time was when he killed a dude who was being creepy to a girl on the street which doesn't really make the guy a criminal (and also the level of creepiness differs between the anime and the manga). Outside of that, however, all he did was kill a bunch of cops and investigators (including a despairing fiancee who went all vigilante to get some personal justice), murdered thousands of people who had already been arrested or served their time (with no idea if they had/were serving under false charges or if they had reformed/were in the process of reforming), started dating a girl just to use her as a tool, shortened said girlfriend's life significantly via his plans, forced an actually pretty nice god-like being to commit suicide to save the life of another and domino-effect'd his own dad into the grave with no regrets.

Uhhh did we watch the same Naruto? The same Naruto that wasn't able to control the Nine-Tails and would eventually let it loose if he didn't control it. You do know that Kurama was giving Naruto chakra to weaken the seal right? The same Naruto that was hated by the village for that power to later use it to save it. Sounds like a change in circumstance through effort.
@DCBiscuit
@DCBiscuit Жыл бұрын
@@HaissamMouard Yes, but that’s not my point. Neji and Naruto’s entire fight was centered around the idea that “no one can change their destiny, from the moment you’re born, that is all you ever will be” versus the concept of “you can always change what you become.” Naruto had nothing, yes, but that doesn’t stop that he was born with an inherit advantage over everyone else. It was just a matter of mastering everything inside of himself. I mean, the kid can’t even summon a standard clone and managed to summon at least fifty something shadow clones on his first try. Neji wouldn’t have had the chakra to do that. Naruto was BORN stronger than everyone else.
@HaissamMouard
@HaissamMouard Жыл бұрын
@@DCBiscuit Naruto was also BORN destined to kill Sasuke and repeat the cycle of hatred. Guess what happened. "Who you are" is part of destiny. I never understood the hyper fixation on power. Someone can be disadvantaged in ways other than strength. Like socially. Naruto was hated and isolated by practically everyone. Gaara was going mentally insane. Destiny can impact more than weakness. Gaara was destined to be alone by his tailed beast. Sasuke was destined to never find resolution with Naruto.
@DCBiscuit
@DCBiscuit Жыл бұрын
@@HaissamMouard That has nothing to do with Naruto’s hypocrisy. Neji and Naruto’s entire conflict was centered around Naruto’s ideology of needing to be strong enough to become Hokage, but since he was “destined for failure” as Neji said, he needed to prove that with “his power” he could prove Neji wrong. But it wasn’t his power, he only beat Neji because of the power of the Nine Tails. He proved Neji right because he used Kurama’s power, whether Kurama was only giving it to Naruto to weaken the seal or not doesn’t matter in particular to what I’m talking about.
