Who is "The Boss" in Tower of God?

I think the “princes” are parts of Jahad’s ego/soul/self. Specifically parts he thought he needed to get rid of to become how he is now. We know he had a desire to do this with data Jahad and Arlene’s name, to erase the stuff that caused him conflict. My reasoning is that Wagnan and The Boss clearly display individual aspects of Jahad’s personality (Karaka is a bit more subtle so I’ll leave him for later). The boss is Jahad’s sense of adventure and/or curiosity, the same sense that led his data self to side with Bam. I think the boss has the same goal. To get Bam up the tower to challenge himself, shake up the tower, and possibly open the door. Wangnan is Jahad’s sense of justice and his desire to “make everyone happy”, which Jahad would clearly have to give up to be how he is now. He might also be some more negative emotions as well, the stuff we see in his nightmares. Karaka is a bit trickier, but the line that is important is when he told Dowon that he was born hating Jahad. I think Karaka is possibly Jahad’s self hatred, but he also displays a lot of paranoia, distrust, and talks about how he does everything alone so maybe those are also relevant. Karaka is also semi-immortal like Wangnan so that is interesting as well imo. Rachel said “you guys are the fatal weak point that Jahad tried to hide but ultimately survived”. I think it is very literal, these are what Jahad considers to be HIS weak points and attempted to remove and hide them away. I think the person with the ring she met is the boss. But that ties too much into my Rachel theory to go into it. Basically, Jahad did a reverse white, splitting himself into clones to remove parts of him that didn’t suit his agenda. If white can combine bodies into one with a spell, Jahad being able to do the opposite doesn’t seem crazy at all to me. Especially with his connections to the admins, Gustang, the workshop, etc.

@@leblackrosethorn3834 It’s possible they were created at the same time but weren’t active at the same time? Maybe their apparent/visual age is linked to Jahad’s personality in some way also? Like Wagnan is a part of Jahad’s personality that formed when he was younger so he looks younger? Time is so wonky in the tower also so it’s hard to say. They could all be like Bam who is technically ancient but doesn’t have memories of most of that time. It’s also possible the rings were created all at once but the “princes” were created every time Jahad wanted another “weakness” removed from himself. Another thing I feel that strengthens this theory is that all three of them have sided with Bam in some way. Wangnan is 100% team Bam, Karaka is tsundere, and the boss is at least somewhat helping Bam. This to me shows that if Jahad didn’t remove these parts of himself, someone like Bam could have won him over and convinced him to change. I’m calling it that if Karaka ever willingly reveals his face to someone other than another prince, it will be Bam.

I think it was said by Khun Eduan during the Hell Train arc, but Jahad went from being obsessed with proving himself and being an adventurer, to saying it was his "divine" right to rule the tower. It's been my headcanon that he intentionally sacrificed some fragment of himself(tricked by Headon or other character maybe?) in order to gain the authority to rule the tower and that fragment is either the captain and he potentially has the ability to have offspring, or the tower/something else created beings from the fragment. Something unknown splitting the fragment into living beings makes the most sense to me, as it would perfectly align with the idea that Jahad's mistake when gaining authority of the tower was that he didn't know what would happen to the fragment after it was split from himself.

I agree, there could be a price in becoming the King of the Tower. Jahad probably had to sacrifice a part of himself. In this case it could have been a literal aspect of himself. The aspect of Jahad's adventurous self made flesh now probably roams the tower or something. Data Eduan did call data Jahad a fake. Maybe data Eduan phrase has a deeper meaning.

@@millardfilmore1403 as much as I like that, I also wished for a stable balance, the definition of an axis and phataminum being one was kinda overkill for the power building we had from the story so far, I would not have imagined it unless I read spoilers from what I just know. Phataminum name appeared from the beginning but I wondered if the concept of axis was already thought of, I think this way since he seemed revelant in the beginning as an Irregular, but then with the way he is it would not be possible to make him appear until very very late in the story. Although it just what I think hoping SIU does not get blocked by the power limits he conceived, but I trust SIU to make us a smooth introduction later, hopefully !

What level of worldbuilding has Oda? Nothing in One Piece happens at the same time in a relevant way. The cast of truly meaningful characters is ridicously short and so are the conections between the events that make the story move forward. It is about Luffy and his crew moving from island to island with minor and not at all complex interventions here and there from the marines or some random enemy (big mom, kaido...) that ultimately ends with a "im bad" or "im more powerful ahaahah".

My Boss theory is that He is an Army Corps Commander along side being a Prince. There are 3 other Squadrons we haven't seen yet, if there's a 4th and 5th Squadron it stands to reason that there a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Squadron. That explains how he knows about Jinsungs location, him ordering Yool and Khell, etc.

Now this is just my theory but I think it really makes sense: What if jahad stopping his climb to the tower is actually a test to go to the next floor? I mean, we know that wangnan and karaka's ring are one half of the key and the 13 months series is the other half and something must have happened to stop jahad's adventure spirit. Then jahad has a different contract with the administrator, which may be because he is the one being tested (I guess). The test may consist in climbing the tower again with maybe different "arsenals" (meaning different sets of powers, like seeing faith for "the boss", good shinsu abilities for karaka and regeneration for wangnan) or maybe climb the tower with different objectives (karaka slaying the king, wangnan helping bam, and "the boss" behaving much like jahad would do) or conditions to achieve different goals. I should also mention that I read some comments (that I really support as part of the theory) suggesting that the three lookalikes may actually be traits of jahads personality or like his roles (adventurer and king for the boss, slayer for karaka and friend or companion for Wang an), or also parts of his personality he wanted to get rid of. This all makes sense up to a certain point. Then after the story unravels the three jahads lookalikes would become one with jahad (or not) and continue the climb with bam, alone or maybe die based on how everything goes. Also one thing I noticed here in the video is the three dots under jahad's sygil which may represent the three moles of the three jahad lookalikes (assuming karaka is similar to wangnan, and I think that the third lookalike might actually have a mold near his nose, but this is just speculation). Let me know what you guys think, maybe together we can actually come to a mode defined conclusion.

Maybe V is from a Noble family outside the tower, and not just a random family, but a strong and famous one, he is also a warlord and according to google "A warlord is a person who exercises military, economic, and political control over a region in a country without a strong national government; largely because of coercive control over the armed forces." The way he dresses in the flashbacks looks like he is a humble person and he looks neat, I can sense that he has this kind of noble aura in him. We can also see from other stories that a real noble knows how to treat his people, and that is why V is able to get along with the people inside the tower. Well its just a theory tho, and maybe while they are climbing the tower, all of them tells a story about what kind of things are they doing before entering the tower, or maybe one of the family heads also came from where V is, According to the blogpost, Yeon Hana herself is a virgin who has never embraced a man. According to a rumour, she could not forget a man whom she broke up with a long time ago, so she made a contract with a Guardian to become a "female that cannot feel love towards the opposite sex" I have a theory about who is the person that Yeon Hana liked before and I think it is V, but I'm not 100% sure if its true, once I think that my theory is 100% not sure, I don't have the confidence to share it at all. Bro I have a theory about the boss. What if Zahad has a split personality. One is the king of tower and the other is an adventurer like how he was when he was young. They even say the boss was a good story teller like any adventurer would be. His eyes were full of curiosity much like I imagine young Zahad was. And it looks to me that they are at odds with one another. Maby adventurer Zahad wants to help Bam stop himself, but the king is interfering. They also said,, this captain doesn't seem like the one we talked to''' . Also him having a split personality would explain why he was inactive and why the three lords are in charge while adventurer Zahad is in control. It would also explain how the hell king Zahad didn't kill him at the beginning of the story if he can see in to the future. Because he wasn't in control, the adventurer was and that gave time for bam to grow stronger. But looks like king Zahad is back and he immediately started to put things into motion to kill bam and everyone who oppose him.

Okay , this might be random . . .but I think before , Jahad and maybe someone in the workshop worked together to make some experiment with his blood. May be the Purpose of this experiment is to have a child carrying his own blood. And I have a hunch, that Adori Jahad, the commander in chief of jahad royal army , is one of the seeds came from Jahad. Though I have no concrete evidence to prove this point yet, but I couldn't help but ask questions like: Why Adori's long hair is golden? Why of all Jahad Princesses, her 13 Month series weapon is only the S CLASS rated igntion weapon and name it GOLDEN November. Everyone knows that Jahad's color theme is GOLD. I feel like somehow in some unknown mechanic, the Captain is the personality of Jahad had he not become king. He reminds me of data jahad after Bam ignited his "adventurers spirit". Maybe something happened which led to Jahad to literally expel that part of him from himself so he could attain power and become king of the tower. Kind of like Kami expelling Piccolo in DBZ. Except the captain doesn't possess the same power of Jahad. Like he's a wandering weakened Jahad that knows things and wants to see what happens when a "second Jahad" comes around and makes a different choice than Jahad did.

I think that if The Boss can indeed read fate, I think he is curious more so about whether or not Bam can actually change fate. You know Bam has always been one to say things like "I'll find my own answers", or "I'll destroy that destiny". I'm not sure if an irregular has that ability. But if they do maybe the change that The Boss is talking about is a change of fate, rather than just a change to the tower that is "supposed" to happen.

So, my theory is that one of the Captains is the brother of Karaka, they are all similar looking to Jahad like Wagnan. Chances are Jahad had attempted to make replications of himself using the workshop, the reason being that Jahad wished to have control of a specific power(to see into the future, n more) as well as have a version of him inside the tower(maybe to have more people of Jahads power level to carry on climbing the tower, but failed??), if he succeeded in creating one version he probably wont stop there, creating more copies of himself and let them enter the tower to one day ascend again. So the Captain is a group of clones of Jahad with specific powers that the Jahad himself could not acquire himself. This might also explain their fascination with Baam. Considering the captains are clones, they probably have high authority within the army.They gamble weather Baam can bring a change in the tower, they decide to help him at times because they are sick of how the Great heads and Jahad were doing things. The red light district is vague, if Jahad had a male heir as opposed to the princesses the whole tower would know of it. The red light district is the place where the great families allowed Jahad to make clones of himself. It probably failed or is a potential work in progress, if it failed they probably would have been killed, they may also be the last survivors of a potential limitless amount of clones. Tl;dr SIU is giving me a headache.

What if Jahad has been cloning himself? That is what the princes of the red light district are. Wagnan, Karaka, and the Boss are all most likely clones. That is why they have similar personalities to Jahad. Karaka is more like late stage Jahad, while the Boss and Wangnan are more like early stage Jahad. My guess is that he sealed their power and memories and I feel as though they are much stronger than we think. What if they are the final cursed people with their power sealed.

Could it be that jahad wanted to make clones of him self so they could be the 3 Lords of the tower, since we do know from the hidden floor that the only person jahad really trust is himself, so it would make sense for him to make clones of himself to become the 3 Lords, but they somehow failed.

ok,i know,im 2 weeks later with this comment,but i have a personal theory that it's REALLY similar. For me Karaka,The Boss and Wangnan are 3 ""incarnation"" of different Jahad "skills". In fact only The Boss manifest the power to see future. Wangnan it's basically have no capability except for a straordinary luck. About Karaka we don't know to much but one thing is sure,he become a slayer immediately after becoming a ranker (a title reserved for high rankers) and fougth against Yuri,a Jahad princess top 500 ranker and Evan,another high ranker. Also he have a fake immortality and an unique shinsoo quality that can controll gravity,time and space (also remember that teleport skills are the rarest in the tower and only few top-high rankers have them) For me The Boss is the ""clone"" that has inherited the Jahad's capability to "see the future". Wangnan inherited the "luck" or "fate" of Jahad. Karaka inherited the "power" or the "talent" of Jahad (like the princess but with a lot better skills and potential,because he is a "pure blood") In my opinion princess and princes are part of a bigger Jahad's plan to get arround the tower rules and not to be more a "fake ruler"

Since Jahad was ''forced'' to start the whole princess thing so that he can find a woman powerful enough to not die from jahad's power(I'm really curious to know what part of the process is supposed to be lethal...probably the baby itself being too powerful but hey we can always wonder) and that we know that jahad doesn't want to marry, maybe the princes were a failed plan B where he tried to clone himself. Also I may misremember but I think Hwaryun said that Wangnan(and probably the others) was the biggest mistake of the ten families, not jahad, so maybe they tried that first, failed, then said ''ok we tried now marry one of our daughters''. It would make sense since the pressure to have an heir seems to come from the warriors and not the king himself. Now why would they want an immortal to have an heir so much. Maybe there is a clause in Jahad's contract were his invulnerability/invincibility is supposed to be temporary only for the time it takes to choose a successor. Also I said the cloning came first because there didn't seem to be princesses during the time of genesis since Maschenny, who seems to be old by princesses standart wasn't there to see it and the boss was already born. It's probably not that but hey it's a theory

In my opinion they are more likely clones of Jahad. Red light district can also points to workshop meddling. Since let's say something goes wrong you have red light alert. Also it is not out of capability of workshop to have special space called red light district. And since they don't know about each other princes of red light district and the ring being the only distinguishable how to recognize each other they may have not even be created the same and also at the same time.... Also guys most of the time generally prefer to have son than a daughter. Since every prince of the red light district seems to have a bit of an ood or special power ''inhereted'' from the king.
