Things to take from this: - Fangio is a legend no matter what era you take into account. - Clark & Senna’s totals coming to stops are always sad no matter who does these stat counts. - Alonso’s could be higher if he wasn’t a nightmare child with teams. - Vettel burned bright then burned out. - only champions are in the top 10 (multiple time champions in top 6 or above right now). - Schumacher and Hamilton are majorly different from one another in terms of how they got the job done. But they won and won A LOT. And that’s all that matters.
@justiziero2 жыл бұрын
Alonso nightmare child? The nightmare were the teams: mclaren bet for Hamilton in his first year even though Alonso was twice world champion the last year, then Renault wasn’t the best to come back, then Ferrari was better than Renault but for sure not the best car, then McLaren with GP2 Honda’s engine and now Renault again with a car that hasn’t evolved for 2 years to bet everything for 2022. He had bad luck and F1 is a fucking circus, maybe he is the only one being honest there
@StarCharger282 жыл бұрын
@@justiziero sir if you do your research on the bridges Alonso has magnificently burned down (McLaren, Ferrari, Honda Engines, etc.) you’d know he was the most notoriously difficult driver to work with. He said Ron Dennis wasn’t serious about winning the championships when he brought Rookie Lewis Hamilton onto McLaren in 07. NO ONE in F1 or McLaren expected him to be as good as he was. Yet Lewis went on to beat him that year. Alonso left camp abruptly and hasn’t fancied Lewis much ever since. 2010 & 2012 with Ferrari he had the leads in the championships up until the final race in Abu Dhabi & Brazil, respectively and he went on to lose both years to Vettel. After he lambasted Ferrari for the 2014 effort, he left camp and burned that bridge. The abysmal McLaren Honda years were where he burned his Honda bridge (that could have powered him to the Indy 500 win in 2017 but Honda REFUSED to supply the team he was racing with after his “GP2 Engine” outburst in Suzuka years before.) Alpine was the only team that’d take him back and that’s because his options were limited by his own hand. So yes, he was a nightmare child and it’s all his doing.
@justiziero2 жыл бұрын
@@StarCharger28 @Star Charger 28 sorry but I'm Spanish and I researched a lot about what happened with Alonso. When he was in McLaren with Hamilton, the team bet for Hamilton and Alonso said it on TV , he said they were making they pilots fight between them and they were going to lose the championship and that's what happened. In Hungary, it seemed he stopped Hamilton at pitstops, but he was arguing by radio why did he have to change to old hard tyres and Hamilton had new soft tyres. They had a treat where every pilot had a chance more to do the pole, so it was Alonso's turn in that race but Hamilton didn't listen so he broke the treat but there wasn't any consequence. Ron Dennis was with Hamilton the whole time, he knew Hamilton when Hamilton was a child. Maybe you are blind if you can't see that, a British team going with a British pilot that they knew since he was a child. In Ferrari he was second with a much WORSE CAR, meanwhile Vettel had the best car cheating with some pieces from the car which FIA lasted too much to deny them. I don't think being second with a worse car was burning anything. In McLaren with Honda was AWFUL that engine...almost every race they had to retire the car and the car was so slow. Do you really think he is a bad person and no one wants him? That's why he won the 24h in Lemans and he competed in Dakar and came back to FORMULA 1. And there are rumours about Mercedes and Ferrari claiming for Alonso as a possible pilot. This year the real Alonso was shown and I'm so sorry for you, he is a really normal person, not as Hamilton apparenting he is super cool, he is just a normal person driving and being a good friend from all their ex teammates (said by them) meanwhile Hamilton has almost no relationship with the rest because he chose to isolate from the rest of competitors . You are really really wrong! Im so sorry for you ♥️
@StarCharger282 жыл бұрын
@@justiziero that explains your bias and ignorance on Alonso’s perception in the mainstream (and his results for that matter). Yes he won Le Mans (in a completely unopposed Toyota) and competed in the Dakar. He’s also failed to qualify for the Indy 500 as well so don’t leave that out. Fernando, as great a driver as he is, soiled opportunities to win titles in McLaren & Ferrari when, competitively speaking, they were at their best. He failed to beat a ROOKIE Hamilton when he was the two time & defending world champion that beat Schumacher the year prior. I don’t get where you think the other teams are interested in Fernando but that couldn’t be further from the truth if it was on the moon, dude 😂! NOBODY wants Fernando on their team besides Alpine. Mercedes NEVER wanted him and neither do Ferrari. I wouldn’t call a guy that has a museum for HIMSELF a normal guy. He may not be into the same things as Lewis (nor does he have to be), but he’s far from a regular dude. Lewis chooses to isolate himself so that he doesn’t have to put up with the ignorance that folks have about how he conducts his business. You’re very ignorant to say the least and you have it backwards on who deserves pity. Your retort was cute though 🥱.

@@StarCharger28 Ferrari at their best? Look how many poles Ferrari did...and the championship was between 6 pilots and I remind you again, Vettel had the best car, not Fernando! And again talking about Hamilton...are you blind? Alonso beated Michael and suddenly it appears Hamilton copying telemetry from Alonso and supported by the whole team and Ron Dennis knew him when HE WAS A CHILD!!! CANT YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STARTING IN MINARDI THAN STARTING DIRECTLY IN MCLAREN??? So...you better shut up 🤗 Hamilton was beaten by a normal pilot, Nico Rosberg not very ambitious 😂😂😂 Alonso beated all his partners except Hamilton where they tied, and I remember you Hamilton was the only pilot with a crane helping him to come back to the race even though there were 6 cars next to him and the crane helped Hamilton. So...if the crane didn't help (just him of course because F1 is British) Alonso would have beaten Hamilton. Hamilton didn't want Alonso in Mercedes, that's why Alonso never had a position there 😉 Ferrari had the best car with Michael and Vettel, but they were cheating and Vettel didn't win neither 😂 Alonso came back this year and beated his team mate even though he started so bad the first half season. About Indy Car...do you really focus on that when he has won many things ? We don't know what happened with that car. Do you use excuses like he won with Toyota because it was the best car? AND WHAT ABOUT HAMILTON WITH THE BEST CAR 6 SEASONS? Beated by a mediocre Nico Rosberg 😂😂😂 Oh wait! He still have the best car and was beated by Max VERSTAPPEN even though he pushed Max in Silverstone (of course at home) and he only had a 10 second penalty and Max 0 points 😂😂😂 this is formula 1, a circus made for Hamilton. The gradual increase in the number of races per season is detrimental to done drivers, partucular those who raced in the 50s and 60s. Looking at it as a proportion of race wins to race starts, Fangio = 47%, Ascari = 40%, Clark = 34%, Stewart = 27%. @@sixtyfivewatts65 I know that. I call myself lucky to watch the golden era of F1. The 90s untill 2005 and I saw what greaatness really is. It's more than wins and the car. It means the driver himself. his skills. his personality and the legacy he woud leave after his retirement

there is no greatest of all time because you cant compare Hamilton with someone like Jim Clark who raced significantly less races in a shorter career, I could also argue Jim Clark is the greatest because he won 90% of races he finished and has 8 Grand Slams but i dont becuase you cant compare drivers across all of time.

@@Alecasand Not top 10??? Hamilton is No.1 and has been recognized as the Greatest Driver of All Time by many in the formula one profession, even Christian Horner is on record saying this. But I support your freedom to hate the most successful driver in F1. You poor thing.
@pablokenzie472 жыл бұрын
@@Alecasand Numbers don't lie, this is not a measure of seasons, but a measure of races, Michael Schumacher has still entered more races than Lewis Hamilton, from the number of races they've both had, Hamilton has won a higher % of races, also he has won a higher amount of races. Calling someone a Fanboy because they support a particular driver is ignorant, immature, passive-aggressive and a sign you have lost your argument, therefore are turning to insults because you have no valid points.

I think it's pretty likely he'd be in the top 10 regardless of whether the hybrids came in or not, considering that between 2007-13 he'd already racked up 22 wins.

@@antoinemarange426 I agree with you Hamilton did not win only for the car but it was certainly a great help for the winning of his 7 titles, in fact if I had been him I would have tried a new challenge maybe in the year in which he had swept the championship in 2019 Homever, on some occasions his win was not taken for granted as in 2017 and 2018 where in generally made more of Ferrari and was able to manage some situations better but also pur many points ahead and be punctually impeccable i don't know how many would have done It or in 2021 he held a championship that seemed to have already been lost in the middle of the championship. Then after all this It seems that I want to defend him at all costs because he is a fan of his when he is not like that.

Now that Lewis Hamilton has 103 wins, Sebastian Vettel's wish, which is to be close to Michael Schumacher (his childhood hero), has finally come true, in which Michael Schumacher has 91 wins and Sebastian Vettel has 53 wins! When he was little, he admired "The 3 Michaels", namely Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson and Michael Schumacher but he ended up choosing to become a Formula 1 racer like Germany's 1st World Champion, Michael Schumacher! Just imagine if he chooses to play basketball like Michael Jordan or becoming a singer like Michael Jackson, he wouldn't have raced against Michael Schumacher! 😢
