Crazy how we're in the top 10 when the last proper driver we had was REUTEMANN. We also had the first GOAT ever for the sport and why not even the current? What a long-dicked country!!
To be accurate the number of races per driver needs to be taken into account but still very interesting.

Though it needs to be said seasons now have 3 times as many races as the early years and reliability is fairly high, most dnfs in recent seasons are due to driver error.

British drivers pretty much hold every single record as far as nationalites go in F1. Our success in F1 and motorsport in general is ridiculous eapecially when you factor in a total lack of state funding or even grass roots programmes, the cost of junior level motorsport is so prohibitively expensive and the amount of time, effort and support a parent needs to dedicate is off the scale. Yet under these circumstances we have produced motorsport legebds the likes of Stirling moss, jack clark, graham hill, dario franchitti, jackie stewart, nigel mansell, john surtees, colin mcrae, andy priaulx and lewis hamilton. Multiple titles and race wins in almost every motorsport discipline on the planet including wrc, wtcc, indy car, f1, les mans, formula e. Its ridiculous.... Yet, when it comes to football? Football boots cost £50. Parents pick you up from training and providing you can run in a straight line the govt will fund your entire junior career. Every school, community, village, occupation and local pub have opportunities for you to play and learn. Oh and its the most watched and supported sport in the country by an absolute mile. The end result?.... David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and 1 world cup success almost 60 years ago. Me thinks something went wrong somewhere.

@@wildwalkeruk bro, that Brazil has grown a lot in foreign policy affairs and everybody now respects Brazil a lot more now doesn't mean there's no more favelas and narco anymore in that country. Can somebody tell me a season, when Ferrari hasent won a race in whole season, because they tend to have won a race in most of the seasons in F1, when they have always been preatty much a top team, but not always the dominating team with the best car on the grid.
@arcale015 күн бұрын
It's unfair how the international community tolerates the counting method adopted by the British, who, when it suits them, participate in competitions as up to four separate countries to maximize their chances of winning. However, when more convenient, they combine the results of all four countries in rankings. The most ridiculous example is in the FIFA World Cup, where they compete as England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland right from the qualifiers, but in the Olympic Games, they sum up the results of all the countries in the medal tally to improve their ranking position. This is disgusting and deceitful.
@craignicholson84604 күн бұрын
What are you talking about? How has competing as separate nations in the FIFA World Cup maximised their chances of winning? It’s actually had the opposite effect - a combined Great Britain football team would almost certainly have had more success than the sole World Cup won in 1966 by England.
@arcale0113 сағат бұрын
@@craignicholson8460 Honestly, even if you combined the four countries, there wouldn’t be enough talent to win anything beyond what they’ve already achieved-that sneaky and questionable 1966 edition. It wouldn’t make any difference. English football has never been more than about money, as the best players in the Premier League are foreigners, as we all know. At best, one or two talented players might emerge from each generation in these four British countries, but it would never be enough to form a World Cup-winning team, even combining all four nations. The central point, however, is that, essentially, if you have 4 competitors among 32, mathematically you have a 1 in 8 chance of being the champion, while all other countries have a 1 in 32 chance. If you still fail to take advantage of these greater odds, it’s simply a matter of incompetence and lack of talent.
