My list: 1. Sugar Ray Robinson - 173-19-6 (109 KO wins). As an amateur, he went 85-0, with 69 of those victories coming by way of knockout, 40 in the first round. He turned professional at the age of 19 and retired in 1952 with a record of 128-1 with 84 wins by KO (he only lost once to jake lamotta who he beat 5 times after that loss proving he's the better fighter). He retired in 1952, only to come back two-and-a-half years later and regain the middleweight title in 1955 and fight until the age of 44 ending up with a record of 173-19-6 (109 KO wins), 18 out of his 19 losses came when he was way past his prime. Throughout his career he fought and defeated plenty of legendary boxers such as: Carmen Basilio, Gene Fullmer, Bobo Olson, Rocky Graziano, Jake LaMotta, Kid Gavilán, Sammy Angott, Henry Armstrong, and Fritzie Zivic. Robinson won six world titles at two weight classes(in an era that had way less weight classes than boxing has today) 2. Muhaamad Ali - 56-5 (37 KO wins) He’s considered the greatest heavyweight. From 1964-78 he won the title 3 separate times had 22 title defenses, was 11-0 in rematches and defeated such Titans as Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Cleveland Williams, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Oscar Bonavena, Jerry Quarry, Joe Bugmer, Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers. And he accomplished that while losing 3 years in his prime due to his refusal to fight in the vietnam war. He defeated better opposition than anyone in heavyweight history including Joe Louis. All of his losses came past his prime. 3. Henry Armstrong - 150- 21 (100 KO wins) Homicide Hank" went 27-0 (with 26 knockouts) in 1937 and won the featherweight title. The next year the relentless attacker captured Barney Ross' welterweight belt and won the lightweight strap. Boxing had eight weight divisions in 1938; Armstrong held three titles at once. Many felt he should've won the middleweight belt in a 1940 draw. He nonetheless beat 16 champions and made a record 19 welterweight title defenses. A virtuoso talent. 4. Joe Louis - 66-3 (52 KO wins) The longest reigning heavyweight champion, Louis ruled boxing when it stood atop the American sports hierarchy. The vicious puncher won the belt in 1937 and defended it a record 25 times, beating the likes of Billy Conn and Jersey Joe Walcott. He also knocked out the five previous heavyweight champs, including Max Baer and Max Schmeling. After Schmeling beat Louis in 1936, "The Brown Bomber" floored the German two years later in what was probably the most anticipated fight in boxing history. Late-career losses to Ezzard Charles and Rocky Marciano do not detract from one of the sport's defining legacies. 5. Rocky Marciano - 49 - 0 (42 KO wins) Marciano did not have a particularly long run in the upper reaches of his sport, first appearing in Ring Magazine's top 10 heavyweight rankings in 1951 and retiring after his 49th win in 1955. However, "The Brockton Blockbuster" finished his career and defeated greats like: Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott and Archie Moore during his title reign. Marciano's record speaks for itself. He is the only heavyweight world champion to retire undefeated and he has the highest KO percentage of any heavyweight world champion. While, if you look closely at Floyd's career a lot of the best people he fought were past their best. Although I think mayweather junior is a great boxer, I think his fights have been very cleverly and carefully chosen and taken at just the right time, de la hoya was pas his prime when fighting floyd, pacquiao started at flyweight so he was much smaller than floyd although he gave him a tough fight, he also was past his prime at the time of their fight. Nevertheless my point is that floyd is a very good boxer but he can't be compared to legends such as Ali, Sugar ray, Joe louis etc.

I won't go into a bio as you did, too much typing 1.) Marvelous Marvin Hagler 2.) Sugar Ray Robinson 3.) Salvador Sanchez - Potential unkonwn 4.) El Finito Lopez 5.) Canelo....Yes, I said Canelo. Highest victory rate OVER pound for pound best and opponents containing the best win lose ratio in the past 20 years, yes, I did the research and was surprised at the records of the people he had beat. 4 division titles as he climbed in weight, no, you don't cherry pick the champions you are given an opportunity against them. First to ever and only to ever unify the middle weight belts and become the undisputed middle weight champion of the world. I second that. Mayweather was more occupied with keeping his record spotless and would selectively pick inexperienced boxers or over the prime boxers. Just go look at the stats of the fighters he fought.

Sometimes I wished Muhammad Ali retired from boxing when he was stripped of his boxing license because people always judge Ali basic on just George Forman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton fights. Not realizing that Ali lost a lot on foot speed , stamina, and natural reflexes basically judging a Nerfed version of him where he got hit a lot and suffered a lot of damage from his opponents. Idk it's weird we reflect on Mike Tyson during his Iron Mike days but Ali is never judged for his time where no one can touch him and all his strikes was opening big cuts on his opponents faces. Muhammad Ali has never been cut or knocked out and we know for a fact he had at least 3 matches with Parkinson's disease in full effect.

@@marcosleon215 Floyd ain’t the greatest. Yes he was 5 division champ but there’s a lot of things I think weigh him down & that’s the fact that his record factually shouldn’t be 50-0. Also even with that, he wouldn’t be above SRR or Ali. Floyd should’ve at least drawed against Manny & lost to Maidana & Castillo 1 off of the official judging criteria. Manny Vs Floyd was hella corrupted by compubox giving incorrect numbers. The punches landed stats in the Mayweather fight were not accurate as reported by compubox. They had Floyd landing more by about 140 to only 81 for Pacquiao. That's only about 6 1/2 punches landed per round for Pacquiao, anyone that saw the fight knows that's ridiculous. 2 unofficial punches-landed surveys done by unbiased sources reversed the totals, having Pac landing 30 to 35 more punches than Floyd. These 2 independent totals nearly matched and should be considered far more accurate IMO. Around the world the majority of countries believed that Pacquiao won the fight, as did Floyd's father, who berated him in his corner mid-fight saying he was losing the fight and fighting as if he was scared of Pacquiao.. Shane Mosely and Evander Holyfield had ringside seats and said Pacquiao won as well. Also on the primary judging criteria which is significant punches landed, it’s 6-6 & nearly a 7-5 Manny & look at the other judging criteria like Ring Generalship, effective aggression & defence, Manny displayed better effective aggression to nullify Floyd’s defence for more rounds then vice versa. Maidana completely nullified Floyd’s defence for more rounds in both fights & landed more significant punches for more rounds then Floyd did, displayed better effective aggression nearly the entire fight & ring generalship is the same. Also nearly everyone who watched the Castillo vs Floyd 1 saw Castillo won off of effective aggression + ring generalship & significant punches landed for more rounds then Floyd (even thought sig punched landed would not be far off to 6-6). Even if 50-0 & let’s argue with the logic Floyd is 50-0. Still that doesn’t surpass Sugar Ray Robbison or Muhammad Ali. Ali had 19 title defenses within a 15 year title reign, being a 3x heavyweight champion & 11-0 in rematches in worse physical conditions to his first encounters with then. He has wins over Archie Moore, Henry Cooper 2x, Sonny Liston 2x, Floyd Patterson 2x, Karl Mildenburger, Cleveland Williams, Zora Foley, Jerry Quarry 2x, Oscar Bonavena, Jimmy Ellis, Buster Mathis, Smokin Joe Frazier 2x, Ken Norton 2x, George Foreman, Chuck Wepner, Ron Lyle, Joe Burgner, Jimmy Young & Earnie Shavers. Ali fought in the hardest era of boxing, with consistent stylists disadvantages with his physical condition that I’ll explain if you ask for it. No one surpassed Ali. Sugar Ray Robison Sugar Ray Robison is a 2 division champ within those 2 divisions, he has 12 title defenses, he has beaten many great opponents that are great in their own rights like Joey Giardello, Denny Moyer, Gene Fulmer, Rocky Castellani, Rocky Graziano, Bobo Olsen 2x, Randolph Turpin, Jake LaMotta 5x, Hans Stretz, Bobby Dykes, Steve Belloise, Kid Gavilán 2x, Young Gee Buffalo, Bernard Doucusen, Henry Armstrong, Maxie Berger, Fritzie Zivic 2x & Carl Guggino.

that the principle, but hitting more isn't equivalent to power, you could apply that to boxers that punch less, however they have a higher accuracy, meaning they are hard to dodge, or apply it to guys like tyson that went for a heavy offensive and would rarely give time to get punched or you can go even as far as simultaneous hits, a lot of knockouts happen in that way since it's the moment the guard is set the lowest some boxers have insane reflexes, others unbreakable defenses and others that hit fast or heavy that's why someone like Ali is called the greatest, the fastest heavy weight that punched like a bull, while others point towards sugar ray robison for his insane reflexes and even between other ages of boxing like mike's peekabo

I often talk about the weight classes we went through with my friend, he says that definitely put him in top ten P4P ever category. I don’t necessarily disagree but he shouldn’t have fought featherweight never mind flyweight if his coaches had his best interest in mind. He went pro in the January of 95 a few days after turning 16, he should have been training for the 96 Olympics maybe even the 2000 games before turning pro. My point is not many talents slip through and don’t get picked up by a gym with trainers who plan a career not just throw him in the ring for some cash as soon as he’s 16. I think many boxers could have been champs at that many weights but their trainers actually planned when they would go pro and at what weight. Manny was literally grew out of his first weight classes. De La Hoya did 6 weights turning pro at almost 4 years older than Manny, could he have done 8 if he went pro at 16? Maybe it’s definitely debatable. Any way PacMan is definitely in the conversation for top ten P4P ever, I just don’t think enough people think about the reason for his 8 weights, it’s definitely impressive but also immoral and probably child abuse for a 16 year old fighting against men for money no matter how good he is.

Pacquio is the greatest fighter of our generation. I stand by that. Not only did he brawl, but his hand speed, angles, chin and combinations were some of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m not a huge boxing fan more of a casual but I watched a lot of PAC-Man he definitely deserves top 10 p4p consideration

Nobody was better than RJJ. Had he retired after winning the HW title, there wouldn't even be a goat debate in boxing because during his prime he was so much better than his competition compared to the difference between other fighters and their competition. We shouldn't hold fighters fights after their prime against them when considering their peak and the duration of that peak.

It’s still Ali, idc what anyone says. He sacrificed his career to stand up for what he believed in. Won the belt 3 separate times and was a blurr of a heavyweight in his prime he was so fast Probably the most durable boxer ever too took some ass beating to secure impressive wins

Yes there is a debate. Ali doesn’t beat a prime Mike Tyson, I don’t anyone does. Tyson Fury would beat Ali, and deserves to be in the running. The only thing about Ali that surpasses Tyson was his resolve, Tyson couldn’t handle interpersonal conflict it is his weakness. Ali could weather anything in or out of the ring, defeats, deaths, celebrity, and he could adapt and overcome. He is an amazing boxer, but a close second to Mike Tyson in his prime.
