Lin Dan takes the cake. People often overlook how out of this world his wrist is. Is so spontaneous and so powerful as well. He can emulate any shot with just a flick of his wrist. His passive deception is also the best I’ve seen. His shots have the same motion throughout. After him is either LCW, Gade or Ginting.
@meister716 ай бұрын
I agree. Lin Dan is the goat. 2nd best is LCW. That Olympic final in Beijing was absolute domination. It was a crazy performance by the Chinese player.

Number 1 lindan, number 2 chong wei. Craaazzyy wrist control by lindan. He can turn his wrist even when the shuttle hit the racket. Craazyyy. And chong wei is pure magic. Straight poker face and all the shuttle placement is goddamn wild. He make 3 deceptive move in a single point?!

Axelsen has good stroke play, not a very deceptive player, bas he has great racquet skills Lee chong wei, anthony ginting are really fast and explosive and they reaches the shuttle early which gives them an opportunity to play variety of shots, hence making their shots deceptive Lin dan, kento momota, taufik have some really good racquet skill, they might not be the fastest(not talking about their primes), but they still controlled the rally when they were under pressure, they can play a variety of shots from a same position, even if they do not reach the shuttle early, and they do not even use almore than half of their shots in most of matches Then about Peter gade, no one knows and understands deception, stroke play more than him, he had extremely good racquet skill and could play almost any shot, and his deceptions are the cleanest and the toughest

Peter gade is the king of deception
@Rubbinghandsschemingsomething5 ай бұрын
I would say either Ginting or Gade if we talk about pure deception. Ginting and Gade uses a lot of deception compared to other, IMO. They have a high success rate too. Lin Dan is more about shuttle placement and stamina. LCW placement slightly worse than Lin Dan but his speed is better. Taufik is similar to Lin Dan but worse physical condition. Axelsen is similar to LCW, imo.

How can LD not he #1? Not only he's playing trickshots in the Olympics gold medal match, and its working, but also they simply are the most stylish. Also the way he just watched them because he knows you cant recover. 💯% cool customer.

I think it's Taufik because his backhand smashes are almost always winners because he hides it so well.

If you are fast enough, you will on the ideal spot to receive the shuttle milliseconds earlier, then you'll 2 or 3 shot options. That's all about deception or double strokes I understand.
