I can’t believe it’s finished 😪 This was the biggest project I’ve ever taken on, and I hope you all liked the videos. If you missed the first two in this series, you can watch them here: Quarterfinals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2fPo3ptjZx5qZI Semifinals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXKqmo2EhbStis0 And stay tuned for my tour of the Ravensburger factory coming this January!

Karen, it doesn’t matter how fast you are at individual puzzles, you are by far and away the best producer of puzzle videos on the Internet! Someone else said these are documentary quality and yes, yes, they most definitely are. I hope to someday go to these competitions and I wouldn’t have even dreamt of it if it wasn’t for your videos. Thank you! I rarely wait for channels to post a new video but I was waiting for this one!!

Oh huge congratulations to Marketa! In the nine months I was pregnant I did 32 jigsaw puzzles. I laid them all out and took photos right before giving birth. That's about all I did while he was growing 😅 And my mother similarly did a massive amount of jigsaw puzzles when she was pregnant with me in the 80's. After giving birth I have only done your puzzle, Karen. In three years that's the only one I looked forward to enough to do. Parenting infants and toddlers is not for the weak. You really do have to sacrifice hobbies and a lot of personal freedoms. I got a puzzle advent calendar this year. It's 1000 piece split out over 24 days. I figured it was about the only way to work my hobby into my life. My little almost 3 year-old amazing bean is now doing jigsaw puzzles so carefully next to me and it is the best feeling ever. He talks himself through it. He says oh no maybe this piece goes over here. Maybe I have to turn it. And he's actually doing it. I can take up to 6 pieces out of a puzzle section that we've already done. and he is able to reason it out and put them in the right place so gently and carefully. And if you knew my son, you would know that he hardly ever does anything gently. 😂 so to new parents who have no time for your hobby anymore: Oh just wait until they start doing it with you. It is magical! Merry Christmas to everyone! 🎉 Seeing these videos makes me want badly to team up with him by my side in a pairs event. When he is a little older we really could if he still loves puzzles. What a positive and uplifting thing to be a part of!

Okay, so it's probably not feasible to actually incoporate this into the official competition, but all throughout watching this video I just kept thinking that I would love to see Individual events for different puzzle categories. Like, one competition for fastest puzzler all-around, but also an option to compete in a category-specific event, such as landscapes, photographs, flat illustrations, etc. -- kind of like how gymnasts have separate beam, floor, and vault events, or how the pommel horse guy only competes in pommel horse but is extremely good at that one specific event. I feel like the Pairs and Teams results can stay more consistent across events because each of the members has different strengths and preferences that can balance each other out, but the Individual results seem much more susceptible to flip-flopping around based on how good you are at the specific type of puzzle you happen to get that year, very luck of the draw. Of course, the top puzzlers tend to be excellent at every kind of puzzle, but it would also be nice to see people going head-to-head in their specific areas of strength, even if it's just one event with all the same puzzlers as the Individual Final, but separated into sections based on which category they've elected to participate in. Anyway, thank you, Karen, for the amazingly in-depth and informative series! You are truly the gold standard of competition coverage, and I've been enjoying this series immensely, for the third year in a row! I've been wondering, is there a specific reason this year's videos were more labor-intensive than previously? I hope it hasn't made you want to never do this again -- although I wouldn't blame you if it did; three months is a *huge* chunk of the year to devote to an event that happens annually. Thank you again, and I hope you're taking a very well-deserved rest now!

I started to show my three year old son this video after binging a TON of your content over the last four days (my husband and i have both been so sick, so I've been doing nothing but sleeping and watching you puzzle!). Anyway- i started to show my toddler this video because he couldn't believe people "puzzle race" (he loves building puzzles, his biggest solve has been some of my 100 piece puzzles of Strawberry Shortcake, the Peanuts characters, and Care Bears from the 80's!) He's so happy building the same puzzles over and over again & he's insanely fast already at just 3! Anyway, i started to show him the video, and just as he minutes in, he jumped up and said "I have to puzzle, I'll be back!" And he ran out of the room to go re-build the Care Bears puzzle again. I did show him at the beginning, the puzzle behind you that you designed and he said "I wish we could have that one at our house"- so it looks like I'll be trying to see if i can still order it in time for Christmas. After all .. three isn't too early for 500/ 1000-piece puzzles... Right?! Mark my words... This kid is pretty dedicated. I think he'll be coming for y'all as soon as he's old enough to qualify. He's pretty smart and i could totally see our family traveling to support our little puzzler. :-D

The support and enthusiasm from everyone (pizzlers, commentators, volunteers, spectators) is contagious. Kudos to Karen for doing double duty as a competitor AND journalist. Huge shoutouts to Valentina and Katie as well for their work!!

Incredible that Melissa and Hannah went to all the state championships. Air Travel is expensive in Australia and the distances are huge if you are driving. Australia is almost as large in area as the contiguous USA. Huge effort!

I hope we can all appreciate what an amazing job both you and Valentina do with these videos. It's one thing to make engaging videos on a subject which viewers were interested in anyway, but taking a subject which most people probably didn't know existed and then having them completely gripped by it requires a very special skill. I didn't even know there was a World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship before I saw your videos on the 2023 edition, yet now I've been eagerly waiting for you to finish these and watched every second of them once they were available. Of course, the great atmosphere of the event adds to the attraction. When in other sports we see competitors trash talking their opponents, abusing the officials etc., everyone at the WJPC is just so lovely to each other, regardless of the result. How many other world championship finals are there where a competitor would realise that they should have had a penalty imposed and immediately inform the judges to make sure it was applied correctly, like you and Tiffany did in the pairs final? They'd all keep quiet and hope to get away with it. Congratulations to all the winners. It must have been heart-wrenching for Kristin to finish runner-up two years in a row, but this was her year. Who doesn't love a happy ending? I really hope to enter myself one year so I can come and join in the fun, but I'll need to get up to scratch first - I know there's no qualifying standard so anyone can enter, but I kind of feel that there's no point going if I'm so far behind everyone else's level that I'm left still sorting my pieces when they've all finished. I think I'd want to at least finish my first puzzle within time to say it was worth going, so I need to get myself down to being able to do a 500 piece puzzle in under 1:30. The only time so far that I've tried timing myself on one, I took 3:30, so I've got a lot of work to do!

You’re a rockstar! Your videos rekindled my love of puzzling, I watched the worlds livestream but I couldn’t catch all of them. These highlights are excellent. Like everything you do, comprehensive, great production and high quality. Many thanks for your hard work on these.

I started watching this channel about 1.5-2 years ago. I had no idea there was a world puzzling competition until I started watching this channel. It is amazing, the community is so supportive and uplifting, I just love it. I have been waiting for these videos and your time and dedication to editing and putting these together is amazing. Thank You so much for these and for your channel. I love it. Huge thank you to Valentina for videoing the entire event, I can't even imagine how exhausted she must be after the whole thing. Thank you, thank you. Thank you to your sister for helping with the graphs for these videos, those can be daunting to put together and get to look as great as they do. Finally a HUGE congratulations to all the winners, Busy Birdies, Tereza and Markéta, and a Massive congratulations to Kristin. I was hoping she would win the entire time and she DID IT. She should be so proud of herself. Huge congratulations. Also, congratulations on your third place teams win, that is incredible. Looking forward to the factory tour next year.

This video made me so happy. Thank you for putting so much effort and love into this series. I love the extra insights and background information. Congratulations on your 3rd place finish in the Teams competition. You are to jigsaw puzzling what GothamChess is to chess, both fantastic ambassadors for your sports and the reason why they rise so much in popularity.

Amazing work Karen and Valentina!! You both put a lot of great work into this series and I'm so glad to have gotten to watch the whole thing. I've never watched puzzle competitions until now, but watching this has made me want to get back into doing puzzles again. I bought a Christmas puzzle to do over my holiday break! I'm thankful that not only have I found your channel, but that you worked so hard to show so much of this world a lot of us have never seen before. Take a good break and I can't wait to see the Ravensburger tour!!
