I watched my friend kill that bloatfly after numerous attempts. When he finally killed it, we both cheered, he instantly ran over to collect the loot, and the explosion killed him. I remember the Legendary Bloatfly. What I ended up having to do, was perform hit-and-run attacks. Pop off sneak attacks, and then slink away as quickly and quietly as I could to find a hiding spot and wait for the Legendary Bloatfly to lose track of me, so I could repeat the process. Then once it was sufficiently damaged, I took chems and ambushed it, using any cover I could find to avoid incoming green shots. Very hard enemy, had to fight it smart or perish.

My favorite is the Tunneler. The first time we see one follows us first seeing a deathclaw getting folded and shoved in a cargo box by one. When Ulysses tells you that these things are actually spreading out of the Divide and into the Mojave, you really do see how that might be a bit of a problem, given that you probably spent the last thirty minutes of your life getting slapped into pieces by a pack of them, if you were playing on a higher difficulty.

As MATN demonstrated in his level 1 Lonesome Road play through, the flare gun can effectively neutralize abominations including deathclaws and tunnelers, causing them to flee for 10 second, while you are free to shoot them or escape. While he might not have fought the highest level versions (no idea how the Tunneler Queen and Rawr level), but they will always be susceptible to the flare gun. While this won't help them in EvE, you did take into account the fact that you can kite tunnelers, a weakness which no AI would exploit. This doesn't change the top spot, but it may put an asterisk on #2. If you aren't careless and have sufficient ammo, Rawr can be juggled indefinitely.

I’ve had my fair share of strong enemies but only one takes the cake. I remember the day when Sunny Smiles trained me by having me fight Sunset Sarsparilla bottles. They had me outnumbered five to one. All I had was my varmint rifle so I just started firing. Round after round couldn’t take a single one down. By sheer luck, I managed to evade their attacks. I was about to let them take me when she gave the order to aim down the sights. The tide turned as they fell one after another. Her wisdom lead to my victory that day. I left the battle scarred, not physically but mentally. From there, the fights only got easier, but the thought of almost certain death at the hands of those sick and twisted bottles gnawed at my mind. The only comfort I can get anymore is knowing that I kill their brethren every time I crack one open and take their cap. It’s cruel, yes, but sometimes cruelty is the only solution in the Mojave.
