Note First off I want to thank you for being an adult among the tech industry. This may get a little long, so try and be as quick as possible. But there’s something I think you’re not taking it into account and that’s the KZbin algorithm. Herd Mentality is alive and well in the United States. And one of the things that we love here is descension, hate, strife. For example, there is a KZbinr that I used to watch Linus tech tips. He was the stereotypical Canadian, very polite, very respectful, and was about the business of the tech review. But he had a wall and wanted to grow his channel and he saw that the way to grow his channel was to do what everybody else was doing be controversial hate everything. Because in America, we don’t really have a good grasp history. So, of course his channel got over that hump and exploded. I went to Boyles down to history, the so-called Tech KZbinr heard Steve Jobs talk about the iPhones 4’s retina display immediately all over him, saying that it was more Apple reality distortion field kind of stuff. Fast forward to today. Every product has a high dpi screen. And your average person including the tech KZbinrs have no idea why it’s that way. Fast forward to the AirPods, and not one tech. KZbinr thought they were a good product. They even went as far to say, as they have to commute, and they would never be caught dead wearing that stuff in public. But, we know our audiences right? So fast forward when the product came out, it was an instant hit with people that weren’t Tech KZbinrs. You couldn’t get AirPods for almost a year because they were on back order for so long. And now we are at the point where a product has been announced that make people insecure. There are people that want this product but they won’t tell you that they want the product. They will just say that apples prices way too high and they get highly emotional about it . These are the people that asked the question. Who is this product for? They think it’s a quest competitor. But the quest is a toy with a phone processor. The Apple Vision Pro is a full-blown computer with a desktop processor. These are two different products, and they are marketed as two very different products. What people don’t understand is Apple very rarely just sells you a piece of hardware. They sell experiences. And this particular product is a completely immersive experience and that’s hard to sell to someone without them experiencing it. Just take away all the media consumption features of the Apple Vision Pro. It’s still going to be one of the best computers ever made. And people don’t understand that right now, but they will as soon as it starts getting into peoples hands. People don’t realize that Apple is competing with a different line of products that start around $7000. so when I tell people that this product is actually under priced the emotional people immediately believe that I’m crazy when I say that. But then again, they only look at price versus value. The post took so long, but I wanted to thank you for being one of the few people in the industry that actually understands technology, as well as the psychology behind it .

Thank you for the video. I have friends that have asked the same question and I hesitate to explain myself. In my health insurance agency we all use Apple devices. My desk alone has a Mac mini costing $1300, 48 inch LG OLED monitor $1,000 and a 27” vertical monitor $500. Allow me to also mention no one ask who is it for or why I need a 83” Sony Bravia TV downstairs and a 77” OLED upstairs both at the time cost more than $3,500, knowing you can buy TVs at Walmart for 500 bucks. The most are here is wow-nice.

I’ve been following Apple for 20 years and never cease to be amazed at how short-sighted and shallow Apple analysis continues to be in some corners. If there was such a thing as a Tech Reviewer license, it should be revoked for saying idiotic things like “A Quest 3 does the same thing for 1/7 the price”. Right, same thing - except the processor is 3-8x faster, the display pushes 2.5x the resolution, it uses precise eye tracking as the main input method and iris scanning for biometrics, relaxed hand tracking instead of game controllers, has access to the iOS library, instantly mirrors Mac apps, uses photorealistic Environments and Personas instead of cartoon avatars and cartoon worlds, uses FaceTime/Shareplay/Teams/Zoom/WebEx instead of a Metaverse cartoon conference room. Content includes iPhone spatial home videos, iTunes 3D movies, AppleTV+, Immersive Videos, Disney, Apple Music, and NextVR. Oh yea and there’s a slight difference between Facebook privacy and Apple privacy. But other than THAT, yea I guess they’re exactly the same 🙄 Why would anyone buy it? It’s a computer. What will people use it for? It’s a computer. Why is it $3,500? It’s a computer.

It's a face computer. That's what they are marketing it as. They want nothing to do with AR and VR, as it exists currently. So if you want a face first computer, that's what you'll get. Nothing wrong with that. Your apps they say, on your face. Your Netflix, on your face. Your photos and videos, on your face. Your zoom calls, on your face. Your browser, on your face. Your games, on your face. The world's only face first computer, on your face. You're going to love it!

Really can’t afford it if I’m being honest but I sold my MacBook Pro M1 Pro and my Apple Watch , about to sell my Xbox and switch , it’s that new and exciting to me hopefully I don’t regret it

Great vid, Trent. Nail on the head. Tech “experts” all lost major credibility going forward for me. Tech has become the new art, or cinema. We have advanced to the point where we now have snobs in tech. It happens with every form of art, why not tech? Question: Is tech art?

I think it has become more like sport talk shows where the wildest takes seem to gain the most attention. Just easier to doubt and downplay everything in a snobbish movie critic type of way in order to portray being authentic or keeping it real Instead they come off as uninformed

Something people are forgetting, travelers spend thousands to have a better experience on flights such as Comfort Plus or First Class. This is an easy buy as I travel a lot and this is going to be great on flights and the hotel.

Apple knows they have a gold mine here. In 6 months, folks without VR are going to be missing out. Samsung and Google are sleeping if they don’t have a competing product ready to launch by Apple’s first restock of AVP. Wouldn’t be surprised if the designs are there for those brands, they just need to get their hands on a AVP to see exactly how much tech to put into their own devices.
