Angel Reese shoots 90% of her shots from within 3 feet of basket. She should have a higher percentage. And what is the difference between Reese and Clark? 41.0% and 39.3%. Compare Reese to Griner or Jones who are near 60%. The triple double was not only the first for ANY Fever player. It was the First EVER for a WNBA rookie player and she was 1 rebound away from a triple double a few games ago. Clark will probably lead the league in assists this year. Reese will probably lead in rebounds. Which leads to points? If Clark was not in the league, Reese would be my pick at this stage. Clark isn't the best player in the league. She is, however, the best point guard in the league.

What? You know you can go to the ESPN site to get player stats? Reese totals for steals and blocks are 26 and 6. Clark's totals are 30 and 17. So, Clark has blocked 3 times as many shots as Reese. Also, Clark is tied for second in assists for the league at 7.4. Only Alyssa Thomas is higher at 7.8. Clark will surpass her in assists now that the Fever coach is allowing Clark to run the offense.

Caitlin Clark leads the league in points production, earns 3rd in assists, helps improve her team more than Angel while being the only WNBA player averaging 16+pts, 6+reb & 7+ast. Caitlin is the only rookie ever to achieve a triple double. All this while being the top defensive focus of every team in the WNBA. Despite this, Caitlin has a significantly higher assist to turnover ratio than Angel (1.35 to 1.06). And yes, Caitlin blocks shots at twice the rate of Angel (.8 to .4).

It’s divided by race plain and simple so I can pretty much tell which way people are going to go when I see them. By the way, Chicago had 2 top picks by way of trade, they were actually a game away from making the playoffs last season. The Fever was one of the worst teams in the league and are only a 1/2 game behind the Sky with one more win but they have 2 more losses because they have played more games. Most of Reese’s misses are right under the basket, there’s no excuse for that 😅 Clark’s turnovers are mainly because the players aren’t ready for or simply miss the pass. If she played a little more selfishly that number would drop significantly.
