Probably my favorite song from them. As I grow older (58 now), the message resounds louder than ever before. Of course, it's not absolute. "Living one's life" at the expense of others = significant problem. However, appropriate compromises can ensure relative happiness and success. God bless you all.

I was in this when it happened. I was with a beautiful girl like you, and we went to the live concerts. Time of my life, the music, the girl and, well what went down after the concert. Like you said live your life for yourself, it’s your life! 27 February 2012 I was at work and I died twice that night from a heart attack. I feel sorry for anyone that thinks there isn’t a God. I saw Him twice that night and He told me that it wasn’t my time yet and I had to come back to this Earth. Long story short, you only go around on this rock once so if there is something that you want to do and have the means to do it, then go for it!

Hey I just saw your reaction and I really liked it and agree with what you said about it. Bon Jovi and my favourite band and I’ve seen them live a number of times too, they are amazing. I love the reference in the song as well to Frank Sinatra and his song My Way, I think it’s great (like Frankie said, I did it my way). Hi great video love your positivity and thinking. If you look into jon bonjovi's history you'll see how this song is his life. From a kid in a dead end town in new Jersey who school wasn't for him he lived for music played gigs at night along the Jersey shore the school in the morning. Then took a big shot by handing a copy of runaway to a DJ Ian new York radio station people loved it the station put it on their Compilation album and the bad skyrocketed opening for kiss etc to selling arena's for decades it's a truly inspirational story.

@@hansolo374 I graduated in 1989. I saw them in concert in dec 89(one show with Alice Cooper in Frankfurt Germany, it was a tour combine xmas thing). They were a decent band but never worth the hype they got. Like I said a lot of that is the age I lived through. I never paid to see them again. There is and was no aspect of the band that shined at any time in their careers.

But your not on your own many critics felt the same way yet despite that 2023 Mark's there 40th year. Sadly I was only 13 in 89 and my mum thought all rock was evil. And at least jon can still sing live to a high standard yeah he may not hit the high notes but still better live than Axl rose and Vince Neil. Love both there bands but it's a sad truth. Like I said I respect your opinion we all can't like the same things.
