In this episode we get an incredible revelation about Grunkle Stan that completely recontextualises everything we thought we knew about him: 7:17 - *“Gah! Hot Belgian Waffles! Wait… I'm alone. I can swear **_for real!_** SON OF A-”* Yes, that's right! We just found out that Stan _censors_ himself around the kids! That means the Stan we've seen all summer, the one we thought we knew, was actually _the toned-down, kid-friendly version!!_ What an absolutely mind-blowing revelation! Oh, and also he apparently has a brother or something.

You know, I didn't even really consider this to be a in-canon thing where he purposely toned himself down. I know you're making a small joke obviously, but that's actually pretty fascinating 😅 And it makes sense given his "grifter" story we get next episode!

reminds me that a lot of the major decisions in the show "Do we get a pig?", "Do I give Bill the diary?" , "Do I help dipper with the password?". "Do I trust Stan?" it all comes down to Mabel. The fans still debate if Mabel is the cause of every problem or the answer to every problem.

@@EversPrimeTime At some point (perhaps already in other comment sections), folks will give you some clues about other foreshadowing to Stan having a twin. There are several episodes / moments in Season 1 that are completely recontextualized, and much more poignant, once you know that Stan has a twin. So not only did the show tease the vending machine secret in the first episode, it's been teasing Stan's twin (and Stan's real identity) in a bunch of details from as early as the second episode of the series. This show is super worth a rewatch to catch all that stuff!

This episode STILL keys me up, and I've seen it SO many times and watched many other reactors view it. Also, THIS was the episode I was most excited to see your reaction on. When you said you were going to be sick, that was 100% how I felt on first viewing. Remember what Bill said at the end of S1E19 with the 6-fingered hand above him: A day wil be coming when everything you care about will change

I imagine everyone patiently sits through so many episodes of reactors to get to this moment...the payoff is monumental though. There's no other show I've done so far that has had this sort of payoff. Not yet at least. I'm sure AtLA will come close though. The amount of foreshadowing they got in is next level. So much to enjoy and go back to rewatch!

in time travels pig, when dipper and mabel are going through random parts of time, and one of them is the mystery shack, we see our first look at ford, they don’t show us his fingers and the glasses are different
