She and her husband ( Tiger jk) are pioneers of hip-hop in Korea she is half black half korean, her dad was in the ARMY (from Texas if I remember correctly) She not only raps but has such an amazing singing voice and is famous for her drama soundtracks.....I love her....please do more of her and her husband's music 💜......oh she also goes by Tasha if that makes it easier for you :]....also RM and Suga have said before they really look up to them, RM has worked on multiple tracks with them as well....Tasha has her own thing, Tiger jk has his and they have a group together called MFBTY...they love music and have beautiful themes and messages in their music

I clicked so fast when I saw Yoon Mirae. Yoon Mirae is part of MFBTY (My Fans are Better Than Yours) along with Tiger JK and Bizzy. She's fantastic. They are all fantastic. They did a collab with RM and some other artists years ago called Buckubucku. I'd love if you check that song out, too.

Yoon Mi Rae is the queen. Her story is something for an extreme drama. She is the top female artist of S.Korea as a woman empowered and conscious, but also as this amazing rapper and vocalist all in one. She is god tier. OMG! Tiger JK, the producer, is her husband. He is something else as well. They are both very special to RM and BTS.💜💜😭😭

Yoon Mirae, and her husband Tiger JK (the producer at the end), are currently in a group called MFBTY along with Bizzy. They are wonderful. Tiger JK used to be in a duo called Drunken Tiger and they sort of pioneered hip-hop in Korea and definitely inspired a lot of today’s rappers. Check out MFBTY’s Bucku Bucku which features a handful of different rappers, including RM. Yoon Mirae and Tiger JK kill that song.

Tasha (Yoon Mirae) is still one of the best rappers in Korea. She was also the 2nd most-well known black celebrity in Korea (1st was singer In Soon-Ni who debuted in 1978). Since Yoon Mirae debuted in the late 1990s, a time when Korea was extremely cold towards black people (thanks to US tv/film depictions of black people) and had very narrow beauty standards, her agency forced her to straighten her curly hair and hid the fact that she was half-black. Her husband, rapper Tiger JK, who gave the speech at the end revealed this before at a conference. Tasha is such a gentle soul, she seems to never really want to share the extent of the racism she faced growing up in Korea. Her husband Tiger JK is one of "the" hip-hop legends in Korea. Also moved from the US to Korea, wasn't fluent in Korean, started hip-hop crew "Drunken Tiger" in the late 1990s and were pioneers in bringing hip-hop to the Korean mainstream. In Korea, he's an OG rapper that a lot of younger rappers look up to, including RM who collabed on the song "Timeless" with him. Tiger JK is also such a funny and unpredictable guy (Kmedia can't handle his energy when they try to interview him). Just like Tablo of Epik High, he's extremely active on twitter and followed by a lot of army.

Wow... This is so touching. Few decades ago (or still), half black Korean was perceived really bad due to the general situation (US ARMY base in Korea and women working for them near camps, you can guess...). Many of them, if they were rather lucky (this is really unfortunate and ugly side of conservative Korean society), were adopted to the western because mother had to choose a better life for her. It was really tough for a woman raising a half African American in Korea. I feel trembling by the sadness and unfairness that she got in her country. I believe the situation has changed and has been more open in Korea to some extent but it is definitely tough, still. I got tears in my eyes and she really deserves our great recognition for being her now and being positive for others. What an inspiring video.

You only got a taste of it in Black Happiness but besides being a rapper Yoon Mirae is an excellent singer and she has a terrific discography that's well worth checking out in depth. My other favorite songs by her are Baby Bye Bye and Kawi Bawi Bo (rock, paper, scissors). Lol at k-hip hop icon Tiger JK modestly saying "I used to rap back in the day." He and Yoon Mirae and their group MFBTY have been incredibly influential and not just in hip hop. I don't listen to much hip hop either but these cats are one of the exceptions. I think you'd enjoy a vid from the 2015 SBS Dream Concert where RM & Suga (BTS), LE (EXID), Baro (B1A4), Chanyeol (EXO) and Wendy (Red Velvet) joined MFBTY for two songs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5u0nHiCbd5kmMk As that performance implies, they're idolized by many kpop idols. Mamamoo's Wheein used to say Baby Bye Bye was her favorite song and you can find several clips of Wheein doing the main rap verse off the top of her head. Back in 2014-15 The Ark was considered to be the female version of BTS and they often covered Baby Bye Bye when busking around Seoul. MFBTY were featured guest artists on Without You Now by The Ark's rapper Euna Kim.

Actually, she literally tried to escape from the place that she was locked away by her then-agency. She was not allowed to do anything without their permission, barely paid. When she met J.k., she was finally able to be free from the agency with his help.

odg is a wonderfully great YT channel. This was an awesome clip. They do a lot of scenarios with parents, children meeting singers etc. I love the channel, it really lets your remember, revisit your own memories from life. Some of the wisdom some of the children display just blows your mind. My advice to anyone wanting to check their channel out I recommend having tissues ready. Really enjoyed your reaction. I like that you went with the odg video and not the mv. It gave it an entirely genuine heart.

Ah yes, Black Happiness! My first Yoon Mirae song :D I really enjoy ODG's videos. Should also check out the one titled, "Sir... You Sing Like A Singer". Same set up as this video -- karaoke room with the kids not knowing who the person is. Edit: I forgot how much this song makes me cry, especially when I read the lyrics along with it.
