I’ve read the comments, and I do want to correct myself: It’s not IBIS Paint, on a PHONE! still pretty impressive! Also! You may be surprised on how many comments I got whenever making a video on this guy, specially in shorts about hate on the character. Either it be over rated, or because it’s not what they want it to be- I was pretty surprised. Thank you to everyone who corrected me :)

From what I heard, the reason why BF is drawn to be shorter than most is to symbolize his relative innocence compared to the rest of the cast, and Yourself is drawn closer to BF’s canon height to symbolize the loss of that innocence.

Nah. It's a common RPG trick. Boss sprites are usually drawn larger and far more detailed than other sprites so they come off as more imposing

2:25 That IS the message. They stated that when the misinterpretation started coming up. The lyrics aren’t towards Divide. It’s Yourself towards Herself. That simple. Also, the intro is the only thing that was made in Ibis Paint ON A PHONE 5:20 Yourself was going to be similar to Faker/Exe originally. 8:46 Yeah that’s correct. We all know how much BF and GF care about each other. Fun trivia: Herself is IN Yourself’s microphone. Just as much as he can’t let go of her, she can’t let go of him.

“The lyrics aren’t towards Divide. It’s Yourself towards Herself. That simple.” You might be wrong in my opinion, the main reason it was towards Divide and Herself because they both died for unknown reasons, and also Yourself was trying to tell them to stay awake. I don’t want to say how Divide died because it’s disrespectful, including that the fact that it could be a lie.

Nobody said it was, people think it fits Divide’s passing and even if it’s not the case, it’s a good way to remember and appreciate Yourself‘s original creator and his creation

Fr this mod having a tribute and a banger one at that brought many back together. I would say pretty much the facts are here. Would've hoped for the editor to do some cool stuff with editing the lyrical section so you can see, like many others at the time, did, OUR HISTORY. I've been here since 2021 and haven’t left. It was truly a big and bright moment. I'm hoping to see other videos on other, some happier mods in the future, maybe even video essays on some mods like soft. Cool beans!

PEAK VID!!! DUNCACHI COOKED!!!! Also, Yourself’s design is based off of the character Divide created named Lookalike. Lookalike was supposed to be in the Sonic.Exe mod who was genuinely just a BF Faker, but was cut. His design then got repurposed for Silly Billy and then Yourself was created who ISN’T a faker and is just a different version of BF.

Some people hate this guy? I always thought he was neat. The song absolutely bops, I loved the mirror room aesthetic. And his poses still convey a level of cool that would fit Boyfriend proper, y'know? I always thought the lyrical part with the different animation looked goofy as hell though. The Psych Engine port just uses the basic animations for that section though, and I think it's better for it, even if we lose Herself's brief appearance. The mirror still shatters when he does an up note, the notes even still turn blue if I recall correctly. There's also some strange dude in the background of the PE port that I dunno anything about, but...I mean, it's a thing. It was really the only song from that mod I liked, but I REALLY like it, enough to add it to my regular Psyche Engine playlist. I think I started playing FNF sometime after Tankman was added, I know the first mod I played back in the day was the original Skye mod (which is it's own can of worms, really), and later I got back into the game with "Ski sings the entire Undertale soundtrack". But I discovered "Hit Single" a little later and just thought this one song was so cool. If it wasn't for these couple of mods though, I probably would have dropped the game entirely well before the Pico update, but I'm glad I didn't. Another good video though, I like listening to you talk about these mods, even if I already know them.

people probably dislike the song because of the “aethos” style mods that became known after Silly Billy.

Yeah! I’ve had a lot of comments in the past just hate on silly Billy, and I know it confuses some people but I was actually pretty surprised by the “over rated,” or “silly Billy isn’t even that good,” which I think happens when something becomes really popular but- I like him, and the song is really good! Also I’m glad you like it! Thanks for the support 😊

@CTRen I actually am not that deep into mods, I play a few here and there, so I had to look that up. The closest I could gather are mods/songs like Twiddlefinger having lyrical segments and from what I can tell, an abundance of edge. While I still don't think it's entirely fair to judge this song for that reason, I can kinda understand where they're coming from. I literally just looked at the wiki page and that was it, so I might be wrong. It was pretty interesting to learn a whole subgenre sprung up from this though. Thanks for the clarification on why some people might hold some resentment for the song though, I wouldn't have known otherwise.

something i’d mention is also the song Confronting where you go against another version of Yourself. it was made by marstarbro, but considering it came out soon after divide passed makes me wonder if that was an older concept of yourself.

Slight error: The animation was not made in "ms paint" but it was actually made in "ibis paint" lol. idk if the art was made in ibis but it definitely wasn't in ms paint either

Yeah so subterfuge was made first. Silly Billy then used the subterfuge motif twice--once at the beginning and again during the lyrical section. Churgney (Sturm) thanks honkish in the desc of silly billy for allowing him to use the subterfuge motif. Then, subterfuge with lyrics is made by Sturm and again uses the motif since it was already in the original

Perhaps the accident he got in was the same thing that killed Herself. Also, I'm surprised Yourself managed to stay alive despite his late partner's parents probably trying to hunt him down (I assume they'd try to kill him just as DD and MM in BF's universe would). He may have let himself go but his will to survive is still there despite having every reason not to have one.

Sonic Exe V3-> Bf exe/Yourself, Eye To Eye/Confronting yourself. Scrapped 3D Bf exe animation Impractical Jokers? Hit single. P.S. Eye To Eye is placed in many restoration mods in the main week, after Final Escape. Perhaps Xenophanes was meant to lock BF down in the void, after his physical form gave out.

Small correction, the lyrics animation of Silly Billy was done in IBISpaint, a mobile painting app which later got ported to windows (however the artist (StoneSteve) used the mobile version)

Oh, one thing is to know you got most of everything right yes, this was his first time he was gonna debut his model. You can find in the wiki or in the files. I don’t know where but he looks way weirder than how he looks and his single being unfinished yet he had a whole model that looked pretty good and looks like well yourself, since the model not got finished, it’s kind of been stuck like that so I believe it’s single now is the legacy of yourself 5:22

To quickly explain, there's two yourself's, one is divide's, the other is marstar's, marstar's is the one that was meant to be in vs exe with the song eye to eye, while, to my knowledge, divide's yourself was originally going to have a one shot song for subterfuge, which was moved to 'sonic' (aka 2017x), but this could be false.

@@Dineatch058 wanna give some info on this, the creators of the Aethos mod saw leaked development of Silly Billy, and got their mod out first to capitalize off of this type of FNF songs that have inspired a bunch of different mods, such as Twiddlefingers, Rotten Smoothie, and Many others. there is a KZbinr known as Uhyeah who made a video titled "The Most CONTROVERSIAL Friday Night Funkin' Lyric Mod (and the good ones)" on his channel a month or so back that explains it fully, as well as some of the bad things that the main creator of the Aethos mod did ((NOTE: im not tryna hate on what you like, i fuck with the Aethos mod too, but just want to put some knowledge out there cuz i always see people misinterpret things! have some happy holidays!))

genuine question what groups of people actually hate silly billy? all i've seen is support for it and your video also seems to only show that, so why does the title say "most hated and loved" edit: he changed the title so this comment is invalid now
