This is a 79-81 Trans Am. 77-78 had the Hawkeye grill and front end. (Like Smokey and the bandit) 76 and earlier had single round headlights.

yep. this is the non turbo 4.9 also. the turbo ones didn't have the shaker but the side bulge in the hood.

I had a 79 Firebird with a 305 Pontiac Engine... Looks like its from that era. Most likely a 81!

I had a 79 just like the one in the video it had a 403. It was brown this one's more burgundy and mine had t-tops and no rack on the back. It had the Pontiac rally wheels.

@@paintingjoy5036 according to my Firebird Trans Am friend this one is most likely a 81 due to the detailing. My 79 didn't have the Firebird logo on the gas tank flap.

1980 the bird on hood is solid color, on 1981 the wings are hollow {hood showing through }

Yeah, thats def 79-81 the 4.9 though... 301cu in.. didnt have alot of luck with mine. but.. a 400 fits perfectly in its place. hahah

I think you're pretty close I mine was a 4.6 and it was a 79 I bought it right off the showroom floor. What a sweet ride I wish I had it today.

It’s and 80 it has the 80 bird and nose cone 79 bird was slightly different could also be an 81 but

I think you're right I know in 80 they came out with the honeycomb Wheels rather than the Pontiac rally wheels like 79 had.
