Real talk bro: I’ve been cutting for 5 years. I learned how to cut from bossio back in the day. I didn’t pay attention to the business stuff that he talked about like this video and others back then. I wish I had because I’m in a position where I’m more behind than you feel like you are…. LISTEN to this man. And implement everything that you consume from him, into barbering. This industry can change your life if you treat it with respect and take advantage of the free game that bossio is dropping..

I think it would be beneficial to barbers to teach them the LAWS behind a 1099 barber vs w2. For example, if you 1099 your people, the minute you tell them when to be there, what to wear, etc, you are running business illegally. Too many shop owners run a 1099 business to escape the burden of taxes but treat their barbers as an employee. As a booth renter you are not a team, you are your own business. As a commission employee, you are a contribution to the team. Simple

I’m 34, been in many different fields, I have a bachelor’s degree, I’m currently working as a corrections officer but I have no drive for it at all. I knew being a barber was worth it but I guess I just felt like I was too far in my life to learn a new skill but I was accepted in Daytona state barber school and my barber told me he’d teach me under him in the shop I go to so I’m gonna execute on my thoughts and prayers and move cuz God is telling me to move

Yo this is so informational! I’m literally about to finish barber school trying to figure out where I’m going. The shop I’m zoning in on does 70/30 if you work a 6th day you go up to 80/20. But thanks for this info I like stuff like this

Very eye opening 😅 there was some things and questions to ask and I’m traveling right now and I’m not making the cut and it’s a big difference between the first video and this one I have a better understanding of what to expect with booth rent I have worked in the past at supercuts and hated it 😂and I’m about to have a conversation tomorrow with the owner of commission shop and see if this is the right place for me and if he will let me go from commission to booth rent 😅 ❤ it 😅 great advice and I’m a client builder and great team player with awesome counseltations for the great experience 😅.
