This guy guns it and before I knew we were going about 150 mph and the stop sign with an intersection was approaching FAST! My only thought was that this is it, this is how my life ends so I "acted" calm knowing damn well I was gonna die, next thing you know he slams on the brakes and just as you described it, our bodies jerked forward and I just hear the guy say "these things stop on a dime, I just wanted to test that." He didn't end up buying it but when you're the son of the owner of the dealership I guess you can just put miles on cars like that without issue. Keep in mind it was a brand new ZR1 too. No I think that was a Wheel acid mishap. I worked at a Lexus dealership for several years. There's all types of tricks the detailers would use to remove sap or water marks or other things like that, that bonded to paint and were hard to wash off. They knew what they were doing. I didn't. So, of course I decided to wash my whole car with wheel acid thinking it would just remove all the impurities from my paint and make it super shiny. Well the paint was actually fine after a good buffing but ALL of the windows got this weird, permanent light refracting fog. During the day it was OK but at night every single street light made huge light bars refract across the whole window. It was super dangerous to drive it like that but because I was young and also really dumb I drove it like that anyway until I sold it. Anyway the fog was ABSOLUTELY INVINCIBLE. It would not scratch. It would not wipe off. I really hope it has a new windows now... if it's still on the road. Probably not. It was a Kia.

It's windshield had like a 5% tint on it, driving at night felt like I was wearing a welding helmet. I drove it across the country home to Michigan. Passed a cop on the side of a Georgia highway heads up display was showing 202, I was gone before I could see if he pulled out behind me I stayed into the throttle for a bit but really needed to stop for fuel. as luck would have it my credit card was rejected for a fraud alert. That was the most nerve racking fuel stop I've ever had, I was expecting the cops to show up at any moment and haul my ass to jail. The next day I thrashed on that car as hard as I possibly could at the tail of the dragon literally less than 24 hours after I bought the car.

@@redrider7730 well if your taking it to a fight, your hardly acting in self defense. That and only an idiot images they might need a 30 round magazine for personal protection, what are you defending from armored bears ? Your neighbor's aren't stacked up on your door with flash bangs and infared determined to take your baby cheese wheels. you can do with less rounds in the magazine than would be necessary to clear out a cul de sac of all life Mr self defense
@sparkzbarca6 жыл бұрын
@@redrider7730 Well a smart person wouldn't treat the news as gospel, particularly when you've been "preparing" for what 30 years now? Tell me Red rider, exactly how many zombie uprisings have you put down so far? Look, if you want to be "smart" about defense learn to fucking shoot so you can afford to hit something before your trigger pull hits triple digits. And if you are a good shot and you STILL need 30 rounds because you've somehow managed to evoke murderous intent in an entire horde of people then maybe the problem is you. But hey, why stop at defending yourself with 30 round mags. That's what they have after all. Anyone knows that the right tool to deal with people is vital and why not be safe and take an edge. That ban that prevents you from setting up m2 machine guns in a nest covering the door is the real problem. I'm with you now that I think about it, I mean even that aim thing earlier, it's only a problem because RPG's are currently restricted. If only I could a rocket launcher for ranged bombardment and a flamethrower for my close in work I wouldn't need to worry about my accuracy when "defending" myself. You don't need 30 rounds to defend yourself, you need to learn to shoot.
@sparkzbarca6 жыл бұрын
@@redrider7730 Read the stats about home defense red rider, your objectively making your life more dangerous, you are and this is true more likely on average to have a moment of your life where something awful happens and you consider killing yourself and commit suicide with it than shoot at a home invader. The FBI stats back that up, that gun is much more likely to kill you or a member of your family than anyone else. It's ok to own a gun of course, just like it's ok to free climb up a mountain, but stop fucking pretending your doing it for any reason other than you like guns and stop pretending that any attempt to regulate your ownership is going to ensure the state takes over, as if somehow a semi auto and a few rounds of ammunition are going to protect you when hundreds of thousands of men with cannons and ships couldn't stop the south from losing the war against what they viewed as government overreach. If the government comes for you guns, your going to lose them or die and clip size won't matter. But preventing the guy shooting into the crowd of people at a concert with 30 rounds before he has to reload will save lives. The reason he didn't use a machine gun or an RPG is because bans at the national level work. Magazine restrictions make complete sense. You don't need 30 rounds and your insistence that you get them anyways is genuinely causing some number of people to die that otherwise wouldn't. You have a right to own a gun, you don't have a "right" to assault magazines.
@sparkzbarca6 жыл бұрын
@@redrider7730 A police officer doesn't say that. The pistol is there personal defense weapon.They carry pistols. When they use rifles like for example in a no knock warrant they are in fact engaging in an assault. Nobody keeps a PERSONAL defense weapon locked up in a case, the case locked up in a trunk, the bullets separated from the gun. Because no one has twenty fucking minutes to respond to personal attacks. The weapons are for prepared attacks, not personal defense. As to oakland california, are you seriously telling me you were carrying an ar15 down the streets of oakland and got a gun pulled on you? Or is it just possible that just like ar15s don't stop home invasions. they don't stop muggings because people don't carry rifles to dinner. Your ar15 in your gun case isn't very fucking helpful when a mugger jumps you. Which is the point. It's not about personal defense.

Hey Eric, do you ever go to the Cars and Coffee at Canterbury Park? If you you do, I'd love to meet up with you sometime there and see some of your cars!

My grandpa was telling me about one time he was speeding along a highway and a cop pulled out and turned on his lights. My grandpa slowed down and pulled over so fast the cop overshot him. My grandpa waited like 5 minutes for the cop to get to the next turnaround and backtrack to get behind him. When the cop finally arrived, I think he gave my grandpa a warning because he was impressed with how fast he was able to slow down (faster than the cop car could).

The tire thing reminded me of a friend getting a 997.2 GT3RS 4.0 he had just bought delivered and it had all seasons on it too, instead of the Sport Cups O_o

I *thought* I knew that car! My dad and I saw it a couple times running around in Little Rock. Beautiful car man.

You don't know barbecue until you come to Lexington, NC. Every October they hold a festival that takes over the town.
