I think this is so wholesome because it’s people. Always thinking that it was machines and now finding out that it’s people is so moving because it’s just such a human experience to celebrate things together and the fact that it’s people bringing this huge part of the joy is just so wonderful.

Let this thing spread for a year. 2023 will be an interesting year for Treb as he tries to deal with a flood of people wanting to toss confetti. I, like many probably, had always assumed it was done by the city. The fact that it is volunteer mixed with all the heart displayed in this film, I suspect they will be crushed by the response of people wanting to participate this year.

Alright, so, I see everyone is discovering you rn, and tbh, I had no idea you were a passion project channel. I watched the memorial site cleaning video I think a few months after it came out, and the imagery has stuck with me since. I had to pause that one the first time around because it was legitimately breathtaking. I think I clicked off to something else because I was in research mode, and I never realized you were a small channel. The cleaning vid was again reccomended to me by KZbin (and has been a persistent reccomendation for days), and I finally clicked on it again. I thought, strange, I imagined this video would have more views by now seeing how beautiful it is. I went to the comments, and I see EVERYONE is newly watching and you are responding, explaining your channel and giving thanks. This one was highly recommended by fellow commenters, so I went to your channel and was still somehow shocked to find that this is indeed clearly a passion channel. I'll have to watch your other videos now, because I loved this one too. I'm so glad the KZbin algorithm blessed you because I didn't realize how cool you are until the second viewing. I figured I should add my two cents here as well since I'm not sure if I ever commented on the other video, and you certainly deserve it. Even if the views slow again, half a million on some videos is definitely not shabby at all. I think you mentioned in comments you lost your passion for a while, so I just wanted to say that it's ok. Love can come and go, but as long as you never forget how it feels, you'll be ok. I know I'll never forget the cleaning video and this one. ❤️

Sadly, he passed away halfway through our school year, but he has a legacy that can never be surpassed by another staff member. His charm captured everbody's attention. Everyone in F hall could hear his jolly laugh from their own classrooms. So when we came back after Winter break and that laughter was gone, you could imagine how strange it felt for everyone. Thank you for such a great documentary, and for providing me with a reminder of one of my favorite English teachers.
