KD didnt leave because of that argument.... The Argument was fueled by the Idea KD was going to leave meaning it was known in the locker room and it boiled over with Draymond. KD left because winning a chip didnt feel like he thought it would, when he watched Jordan hold the trophy and cry or Kobe jump up on the table with his fist balled he didnt get that same emotion they felt, his chip felt more manufactured in a lab like a math equation, Best Player + Best Team = Chip. Just like Lebron chip in Miami felt more like relief than joy (his chip in Cleveland however you saw the tears and emotion). however what Draymond did removed any chance KDs decision could be changed.

@seanswinton62423 жыл бұрын
I think KD went to GSW as a reaction to his rival LBJ who went to Miami to 2 ring success. KD did it, got 2 rings, MVPs and was headed for a third. The injury, the Draymond/Kerr issues, and the validation a championship was supposed to give him fell short in his mind. Why? Critics said he didn't build it. KD felt unfufilled. Enter the Brooklyn Nets. They have no recent chips neither does the city of New York. Getting a ring in Brooklyn or NYC would be historic. Historic like LBJ's ring in Cleveland and Giannis's ring in Milwaukee. Both cities have NBA Championship droughts. In Brooklyn him, Kyrie, Blake Griffin or anyone on last year's team is on the Championship team can say it helped from the beginning. The historic nature of that win would be true validation. Kyrie, KD, and Harden could silence some critics. The LBJ fanboys, not likely.
@momsdadsparentsworldtour45703 жыл бұрын
@@seanswinton6242 - I agree with the first part and parts of your later points. I think a chip for Brooklyn when it was just him and Ky would have gotten him the credit he is searching for, but now that Harden and Nash joined the team I think he will be unfulfilled again because the story will be harden finally got one and Nash will be overhyped as a coach like Kerr was - also, to your last point, KD is the biggest “fan boy” of LeBron hence why he is trying to accomplish what he has / surpass him as if he was the lil brother while LeBron continues to lil brother him by congratulating and celebrating him

Draymond got Kevin out to get paid, if Kevin had stayed no way Draymond would have made as much as he is making now, at least not with the warriors. Think about it, If the warrior pay Curry, and Klay and Kevin, Draymond will be the out of the warriors or take a minimum pay.

Acho needs to remember Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullen, Nate Thurmond and Rick Barry or even Wilt Chamberlain for a while so saying Durant is the best Warriors player is a joke. Draymond needs to accept responsibility for his actions instead of pointing the finger at others
@WalterSmall103 жыл бұрын
I really think people missing something BIG with this. Draymon had to keep pushing KD to make a decision bc Bob Myers wouldve had to make a decision to keep KD over draymon when extensions was coming up. If KD stayed, that would have gotten Draymon traded after the 2019 season. It was a HEAVY play by Draymon and his agent. Ultimately, KD gets pushed out June 19' Draymon got the extension Aug 19'. The arguments was about are you staying or leaving. ALSO Rich Paul was the agent 👀.

KD also said that he always felt like it was Kevin Durant and the Warriors, like he wasn't really a part of the team, I'm sure that played a bigger part in his departure than the Draymond fight, he wanted to go somewhere where he wasn't looked at as this x factor to an already successful and established situation.

Giannis alone getting another ring for example will definitely shake up everyone from fans to media personalities. P.S. - LeBron didn't set this team up for KD he set it up for the perimeter dominance of Giannis. That means he's confident about seeing him possibly at the Finals next season.
