You'd think a company whose business it is to produce anti-drone technology would know a bit about drone laws.
@lizcollinson2692 Жыл бұрын
Ha ha, reality is almost never so sensible.
@GrumpyGrebo Жыл бұрын
You would think that, if you were stupid and used completely illogical reasoning. The fact that this comment has quit a few upvotes is quite revealing. Why don't lock producers need to know about trespass law? Why don't power tool manufacturers need to know about weapons regulations? Why don't car producers need to know about maritime law? To clarify beyond doubt: manufacturers don't cater to understanding the laws for every possible use case scenario of the their products, they only focus on compliance with what the intended purpose and manufactured capabilities allow it to perform. To clarify further: anti-drone technology is intended to disable drones. As long as it does so within the confines of the law, whichever use case it is deployed in is irrelevant. Why on earth would a company that produces devices that render drones unable to fly, need to understand at all, where it is legal for drones to fly? That isn't even taking into account that these guys (albeit foolishly) are engaging with minimal prior preparation. If you step back and think without bias, it makes absolutely no sense for a company that produces anti-drone technology, to invest resources into researching drone laws. They use RF technology, they need to know RF related law.

Hi Yorkshie wanderer may I just kindly point out that you obviously have not properly thought out your original answer otherwise you would realise that your answer is weak in terms of facts regarding the police / solicitors so let me kindly explain a few things to you and if you disagree with me then that's fine as your entitled to your opinion regardless of whether it is right or wrong This company pays Taxes and pays far more £s in taxes than DJ Audits does and so is entitled to use public services such as the Police ( ( just as DJ AUDITS is entitled to use the same public services such as the police ) because they have ALREADY PAID for such services and so don't need to resort to contacting a solicitor because a solicitor has NO legal powers to make an arrest in the event of a breach of the law So if that individual company member feels it necessary to contact the police regarding legitimate concerns that they may have then they are NOT abusing the police service in any way since that company has FAR MORE TO LOSE than DJ Audit's has in the event of an incident that could cost the company thousands of pounds, you have to remember DJ Audits has gear costing less than £4000 on him at any one time while he is out and about ( Please feel free to correct me DJ if you disagree on this point ) and therefore anyone who owns and runs a business will always do whatever they can to PROTECT their company's interests (wouldn't you ? I know I would ) FOR THE RECORD...... the first guy who came out to speak to DJ AUDITS ( he was wearing a Blue shirt ) acted 100% professionally and was very cordial with DJ and if there was anyone that was acting guardedly with regard to the unfolding conversation between the two of them then it would actually be DJ Audits As for the second guy with the Brown t shirt ( owner ??? ) in general he was not very friendly towards DJ and created a very defensive personal stance and engaged in minimal dialogue with DJ and probably didn't have much respect for DJ at all and that's why he was more interested in talking to the police than talking to a complete stranger who in his mind was a nobody. I do find DJ's videos semi interesting from the point of view that he DEFENDS ordinary citizen's rights when faced with authorities such as the police but DJ AUDITS does have flaws including being cocky and self righteous and talking down to people as if they are 3 years old also when it comes to dealing with the police in some of his videos DJ needs to ACCEPT that if he acts in a childish way such as refusing to name his KZbin channel when asked for on legitimate grounds then that only further creates a problem regarding the issue of trust and so raises more questions than it answers after all what's the big deal about giving the name of his channel its not like he is special in what he does and so why hide your YT channels identity ? the police could find out if they REALLY wanted too and DJ knows that but for some reason DJ does not seem willing to want to make such information known when politely and innocently asked for I fully agree with DJ AUDITS 100% when he politely informs the Police that he does NOT wish to give his name and address details unless of course he is being charged with a breach of the law in which case DJ Audits would do the right thing and comply with the request Thankfully in this country you are NOT GUILTY until proven otherwise, but ordinary people should always stand and defend their rights when faced with possible ABUSE of legal powers given to police officers because it DOES indeed happen Keep up the public awareness of people's rights DJ AUDITS and thankyou for pointing out such things in your videos

WHICH IS CLEARLY NOT THE CASE as all UK citizens are entitled to equal application of the law being applied and the provision to use that public service GENUINE MISTAKE on my part and I am happy to set the record straight Rachel and thankyou for the interesting history lesson regarding the Peelian principles as laid down by the Metropolitan Police founder Sir Robert Peel in 1829 I have now added the following additional words to my original reply which I forgot to add when I was writing my reply the first time ( just as DJ AUDITS is entitled to use the same public services such as the police )

Counter drone technology has come on in leaps and bounds since Ukraine kicked off. I was reading the other day how both sides are having their drone capability severely reduced. In some cases down to minutes in the air, before the drone is compromised in the air.

25:55 Hot air balloon and paraglider are always recording their experience. A small plane might not be because the pilot is enjoying the flight not the view. But a person in a balloon is enjoying the view. And paragliders always record their flights - just look at the number of channels on KZbin dedicated to paragliding.

When DJ mentioned that they can legally charge him a reasonable fee for the footage (like an hourly rate or so), he probably thought he would charge DJ some exorbitant fee. I hope he did just that, as I know DJ would just say that he's changed his mind and remind them to shut the gate.

@aodhan2023 Жыл бұрын
Correct name is Subject Access Request. Also no fee should be charged by the data controller
@TukikoTroy Жыл бұрын
@@aodhan2023 Not so. Prior to my retirement I dealt with DSARs on a daily basis. You are simply wrong. Also, what fee should be charged is just your opinion; companies are allowed to charge a reasonable administrative fee to provide these DSARs (for the company I worked for it was £15). Part of the reason for this was to help stop mass spamming of requests, which is what could happen if they were free.
@Jinxs-Journey Жыл бұрын
When I request that they call it a subject access request I’ve even requested them from courts social service and the police always using the SAR request form I do agree it’s data but it isn’t called a data subject access request now it may of been at some point. Even the ioc now say it is a sar request

@@TukikoTroymost companies now provide the first copies free to people. @@aodhan2023that’s correct now they are not meant to charge for the first copy and I’ve never paid and requested these items many times when a company did try to charge me £20 I refused to pay it as entitled to a copy of my care record they held I was then granted a court order they had to provide one free within 60 days to me.
