Let us defend the human race, same number of organs and functions, thrillions of cells, same basic needs, and created with deeper equal qualities (later differs based on our distraction level); In short, whatever color she is, we need a person who delivers to keep America united and issues executed effectively. Unacceptable stereotyping of Jamaicans when most Jamaicans do not smoke marijuana. Same stereotypical myopic lenses through which many others view us why we are often treated with discrimination when we travel overseas and people think we are all drug smugglers, gunmen/gunwomen, impoverished & uneducated people who live on gully banks and are all rastafarians (no disrespect to rastas & gullybank residents, please!) Same disrespect shown by some tourists who think all Jamaican women are for sale. Rude!

I went to a small Mexican town outside Arizona and in the plaza area where all the shop keepers sell their wares ...I was referred to as “Bob Marley Sista” by every shop keep they said it with pride and a smile. I didn’t even think of marijuana I just thought it was beautiful how they all wanted to speak to me about Bob Marley or Ziggy and how much they loved the music. Every culture has something we don’t like to be mentioned. But don’t let it embrasses you too much there are so many beautiful things about Jamaican people and if Kamala can only mention marijuana then to me that is a reflection of the lack of knowledge about her people that her father is responsible for.

To a child, what you accomplish as a Father is more important than what you accomplish academically and/or professionally. She talks all the time about having a warm meal from her mom waiting for her every morning regardless of her mom having to leave the house at 7am for work as a single mom. Most of the time she left before they even got up for school. This person would remember her dad if he was there in her life. How dare he talk about disrespecting his family when he doesn’t even know what family is.

Kamala's dad was born and raised in Jamaica and is of mixed heritage. His ancestors are African and European. Therefore, Kamala is black, white, and Indian. I am Jamaican and I am of the same complexion as Mr. Harris. I recently checked out my DNA on 23 and Me and discovered that I am 20% Western European, 16 percent Asian, and 64 percent African. I have 9 siblings and their complexion range from dark brown to light brown. Most Jamaicans are mixed even if they are very dark in complexion. The Jamaican motto is "out of many one people".

I don't know Dr. Harris, but one of my dearest friends, who is now deceased, was born and bred Jamaican. She was a light-skinned, straight-haired Jamaican like Dr. Harris. She immigrated to America and lived in the NYC area, and considered herself "white" among the polyglot of races there. And she raised her children the same way. If she had moved to the South or any other region of America when she first immigrated to America after WWII, she couldn't have passed for "white". She had several siblings, and I met one of them. He was brown as I am (I'm a black American female about the same color as VP Harris' lovely sister.) so there was no way he could pass for "white" here in America, and he considered himself "black" or "colored" as black Americans were called then. I tell you this because as I mentioned previously, though I don't know Dr. Harris, he probably is like my Jamaican friend. I have not been to Jamaica, but I have seen enough documentaries about this island to know there is a problem with "colorism" among the Jamaican population: There is a relatively small class of well-off, educated "mixed race", "light skinned" Jamaicans living good middle-class lives, while there is a rather "dark-skinned" number Jamaicans living in deep poverty. There is, consequently, a problem with some of these "dark-skinned" people, sadly, using harmful BLEACHING cream in order to become lighter-skinned. The older I have become the more I realize the race "problem" will NEVER be solved while we are in these SINFUL bodies on this FALLEN planet. We will have to wait until we get to Heaven for the kind of love that is required to LOVE your "enemy", and I don't think most of us will make it.🤔😢🙏🧡
