Kamala's dad was born and raised in Jamaica and is of mixed heritage. His ancestors are African and European. Therefore, Kamala is black, white, and Indian. I am Jamaican and I am of the same complexion as Mr. Harris. I recently checked out my DNA on 23 and Me and discovered that I am 20% Western European, 16 percent Asian, and 64 percent African. I have 9 siblings and their complexion range from dark brown to light brown. Most Jamaicans are mixed even if they are very dark in complexion. The Jamaican motto is "out of many one people".
@heru33374 жыл бұрын
Jamaicans is 90% black the motto out of many one people is not because of the mix race, but because of the bad slave they was shipping from all over the Caribbean south and North America to Jamaica,

I as a Jamaican is exceptionally proud to know that the very first female vice president of the United states of America has Jamaican roots and we notice that there is a disconnect between madam vice president and her father .This is of concern however the fact still remain that her paternal heritage is Jamaican and nothing can change that.

I don't know Dr. Harris, but one of my dearest friends, who is now deceased, was born and bred Jamaican. She was a light-skinned, straight-haired Jamaican like Dr. Harris. She immigrated to America and lived in the NYC area, and considered herself "white" among the polyglot of races there. And she raised her children the same way. If she had moved to the South or any other region of America when she first immigrated to America after WWII, she couldn't have passed for "white". She had several siblings, and I met one of them. He was brown as I am (I'm a black American female about the same color as VP Harris' lovely sister.) so there was no way he could pass for "white" here in America, and he considered himself "black" or "colored" as black Americans were called then. I tell you this because as I mentioned previously, though I don't know Dr. Harris, he probably is like my Jamaican friend. I have not been to Jamaica, but I have seen enough documentaries about this island to know there is a problem with "colorism" among the Jamaican population: There is a relatively small class of well-off, educated "mixed race", "light skinned" Jamaicans living good middle-class lives, while there is a rather "dark-skinned" number Jamaicans living in deep poverty. There is, consequently, a problem with some of these "dark-skinned" people, sadly, using harmful BLEACHING cream in order to become lighter-skinned. The older I have become the more I realize the race "problem" will NEVER be solved while we are in these SINFUL bodies on this FALLEN planet. We will have to wait until we get to Heaven for the kind of love that is required to LOVE your "enemy", and I don't think most of us will make it.🤔😢🙏🧡
