These videos get better every time! Pro Tip, ya gotta add a thin layer of liquid white to the whole canvas before you start. It helps the colors spread.

We realized that midway in and i believe cut it out of the edit to not look dumb... BUT ALAS!! hahaha

the trick is to cover the whole canvas with white gesso first it helps the paint thin and spread easier. if you pay attention to the beginning of the video he says the canvas is already covered in white gesso or liquid white

@thegregsego got the same DVD set and paints at age 16 which was 30 yrs ago now lol. I didn't really give it a solid try until my 30's when I sobered up I found that was a good outlet. I painted about 20 and sold every one, made between 75-325 each
