@GizzyDillespee3 жыл бұрын
He often encouraged people at home to take more time and add details. And different shows would sometimes focus more time on mountains, or trees, or water etc, but with that 27 minute limit he'd have to take a much more modern pace and editing to add full detail in each painting. So, he mastered this impressionist style that implies lots of details using broad strokes. His wet on wet technique really helps, and he's a master at loading his brush/knife correctly to get the effect he wants with those broad strokes. I wish he'd had more 1 hour specials.

So glad I decided to watch these videos. I have these little fragments of memories as a child of cold, stormy winter nights my mother used to put in one of her collections of this series shed recorded on VHS, pull out her canvas and paint along with it, while I fell asleep on the couch. For some reason I've always just assumed I fell asleep because it bored me when I was little, but now, watching them as an adult I'm lay in bed with the wind and rain roaring outside while I'm lying in my nice warm bed, the nostalgia is over whelming, and I finally realised I never fell asleep out of boredom. I fell asleep from how relaxing this amazing man was.

Ok then, maybe you should explain your comment?
@morningivy7 жыл бұрын
Shimee I didn't think I would need to explain it, but I suppose those who look too deeply into it only confuse themselves, so some clarification is necessary. When a person dies, they are dead in a physical and literal sense: but as long as you keep them in your mind and heart, then they're still alive in a metaphorical sense. It's such a simple concept that a child should be able to understand (no offense to you though, but I suggest you try taking your time to understand these things, rather than approaching them skeptically from the beginning).
