Stamford Bridge has history, it has character, it is the one & only home Chelsea have ever had. Arsenal have had 3 different homes, they travel around more than Gypsies do. They won the FA Cup in 97, the Cup Winners' Cup in 98, they finished third in the league 4 points behind treble winners Manchester United in the 1998/99 season and they went toe to toe witn Barcelona in the quarterfinals of the 2000 Champions League and then was in the final of the FA Cup of 2002.

Chelsea were winning trophies before the money. FA Cup and Uefa Cup in 97. And made top four in 2003. Had big players like Zola and Gullit. It wasn’t the same as Man City where it felt like the trailer park winning the lottery. The Chelsea takeover was easier to stomach and made sense.

2 CL don't make Chelsea bigger than Arsenal. It's a weak argument. Chelsea has been lucky with a generous owner and the fact there was no FFP until 2011. FFP is not perfect, but it would have slowed them down.

Arsenal but the gap has closed significantly. It isn't just about European cups, it's also size & spread of the fan base is also a factor, stadium, TV draw, history. When Arsenal played the Thai national team, the stadium was full of Thai's wearing Arsenal shirts, that wouldn't that have happened with CFC. For me in EPL, taking all in consideration the Top3 is: MUFC, LIverpool, Arsenal, then CFC.
