@@kevinhall3864BYU fans travel a lot better than Colorado fans do. BYU's religious ties bring in fans that are not alums of the school, Meaning the fan base is absolutely enormous. This can be seen by the fact that while being an independent, BYU earned more than any group of five school. BYU viewership also does not dip nearly as much as most schools when their team is losing. I submit to you that the only reason Colorado was out earning BYU was power five affiliation. I'd put money on BYU out earning CU If not this year then within the next year.

Most BYU fans feel we have a really good team but we are not delusional to think we can easlily run the table from here. It will be very difficult to beat UFC. While everyone will be gunning for unbeaten BYU there is nothing like the holy war. The whole state shuts down, families and best friends taunt each other, statues and schools signs have to be protected from opposing colors, it’s nuts. You have to see it to believe it, and UU would love nothing more than to salvage their season with a win against BYU. The biggest change I have seen in Provo is depth. They could always field and decent first string, but the talent level beyond that really dropped off. It’s not that way this year. Is BYU the Best new ad? This year maybe so, last year, next year, different story.

I’d say the UCF or Utah game are the biggest threat because the Utah game will be in hostile territory and is always a slug fest. UCF is playing well and just gave Iowa State a massive scare… so in order for us to finish our running the table we are going to have to limit the amount of turnovers and keep winning the penalty game… which we’ve done pretty well this year on so far.

All the rest of the remaining games can be a threat to BYUs season, so I'll say Utah is #1 Utah (Holy War) #2 UCF (coming off a close lost to ISU) #3 ASU (undefeated at home) #4 Kansas (can be a surprise) a close #5 Houston (can be a spoiler for the last conference game) pending #6 ISU (If both BYU & ISU remain undefeated in Conference play and meet for the BIG XII Championship) list is just speculative. To many other variables can come into play.

I think the scariest game left for BYU is probably at Arizona St. Because they might have Leavitt back. And with him I thought they were a top 3 or 4 team in the conference. Skattebo is amazing. Tough team. I know BYU fans have some fear of Utah. And Utah could beat them. But Utah is just not good right now. Rising is out for sure. Isaac Wilson had not been good. Defense has injuries. And I know he mentioned UCF running game is scary because BYU gave up yards to Ollie Gordon. But BYU's run defense is really good. Ollie Gordon had to make incredible plays. UCF doesn't have an Ollie Gordon. Out of all of BYU's remaining opponents this is how I'd rank them in scare factor (gaps are tiers)... 1) @ Arizona St 2) vs Kansas 3) @ Utah 4) @ UCF 5) vs Houston (they stink)
@elche19762 күн бұрын
The right answer is anyone left on the schedule. The big12 has been unpredictable. Every week we see unexpected things. Byu's offense has struggled to move thee ball all year and it had been disguised thanks to the defense putting them in excellent field positions. UCF, Utah, ASU, Kansas and Houston can all beat them.
@brettallen14402 күн бұрын
You didn't watch the AZ and OKST games did you...
@elche19762 күн бұрын
@brettallen1440 yeah, I did. 4 turnovers. Byu had a great last drive. Before that, pretty meh. They did what they had to do, but keep in mind... UofA is ranked 70th in total defense and OKSt is 130th. Out of 134. They have struggled against good defenses. Pointing out they had success, finally, against 2 poor defenses, isn't the flex you think it is. I also saw what okst did against BYUs defense.
@brettallen14402 күн бұрын
@elche1976 who's flexing? BYU happens to be very middle of the pack nationally offensive statistics. You're claiming the BYU stinks. That is factually inaccurate.
@elche19762 күн бұрын
@brettallen1440 sigh. Stop putting words in people's mouths. I Never said they stink. Just because you took it like that, doesn't mean I said it. You did. At least be honest about that. Out of 16 big12 teams, here's where they rank in the following. Rushing offense: 10th out of 16. Passing offense: 8th out of 16. Total offense: 10th out of 16. Not horrible, but not great. They were lower before the last 2 games . It helped they played Arizona and OKST who statistically are poor defenses. The defense has helped camouflage some of their weaknesses.
@brettallen14402 күн бұрын
@elche1976 Bro, you're taking this conversation way to personal mate 😂. Your right you didn't use the word "stink" but it was pretty well implied when you sa8d "struggled" all season. The defense has definitely been the better side of the ball but Your claim that they "struggled" all season is flat out wrong.

I think everyone should remember it's the Big 12. Any team could beat any other team on a given week. These are power programs with talent. Look at Oklahoma St last week. Oklahoma St is not good. But they are still very talented. BYU didn't play particularly well, and Oklahoma St almost won. The other factor is matchups. I think the toughest matchups for BYU in theory are ones where the opponent has a strong passing attack and also a good defense that can force turnovers. Positive thing for BYU is that they have UCF, Utah (down their QB), Kansas, Arizona St (potentially down their QB) and Houston... all of whom aren't particularly good passing teams. But... again... these teams are talented. So a loss shouldn't surprise. And I don't think it would mean BYU is fraudulent either. Which I'm sure many would jump too. Because extreme takes are popular.
