I'm proud and grateful for getting my master's degree at BYU. Loving sports, I always try to watch BYU football and basketball games as much as I can, even living in Brazil. And it would be great to see BYU winning championships. But I think BYU should never, ever, forget its mission and values in order to get there... Period. And after watching this good interview, I'm really glad to know that even in a successful season for football, and starting a promising season for basketball, these values, mission, and purpose are still in place for BYU! 🙂

The success of BYU's fan turnout is absolutely connected to this unique mission. We show up whether it's a winning season or not because we feel a sense of community, not just the thrill of fandom. If BYU athletics wants to have sustainable victories in the future, they need to apply the doctrine of Christ in their rolls: Faith, Repentance (Personal and Team Change Management Quickly), Baptism by Immersion (Be All the Way In - Depth is Important), Holy Ghost (Connect with God and with Each Other), Endure to the End (Persist to the End of Each Game and Season). There must be a balance of each of the pillars of the Doctrine of Christ in each roll performed for success. This is not my plan for success. It belongs to the Lord!
