I have a feeling a lot of the misinformation and dumb arguments start because of how popular the anime is, reaching even non anime fan audiences, combined with there being so many different dubs of it aswell as the anime being pretty different to the manga at times, this causes a lot of discourse and arguments with so many different types of fans who consume dragon ball content in different types of ways to various degrees, no other anime I can think of is this popular in western culture as DBZ is.

@@humanoidfrog4645 funny because it's the opposite for me, I've heard of alot of non anime fans be fans of dragon ball z, and I even started out as one, DBZ was my first introduction to anime when I was a kid. But the point I was making was that pokemon got that popular because of the games, not necessarily the TV show, when there's discussions involving popular anime, pokemon is hardly brought up because as a franchise, the anime only makes up a portion of it, atleast in my experience.

The thing about toxic fanbases is 9 times outta 10 the toxic part is not the majority of the fan base, it’s just a VERY loud minority that sets a bad name for the community as a whole. Fanbases like MHA, DBZ, AOT and OP, just suffer from individual’s making such big asses of themselves that it attracts the attention from the outside. These the guys that type “GOKU SOLOS ALL” on every Reddit post they find, threaten the author to make Deku and Bakuguo bang on top of UA, and Plot to start WW3 in the name of Eren Yeager.

To be honest, I wasn't just shocked when Griffith did what he did. I was absolutely repulsed and saddened by it, the fact that he went to such lengths to get back at Guts despite Guts not doing anything to deserve what happened, coupled with what Griffith and the apostles did to Casca and The Band of The Hawk in general is just heartbreaking. The whole Eclipse situation is just a depressing and horrifying event all around. I've only seen 2 Star Wars movies, so I don't know much about the Anakin situation, but to me, what Griffith did was less shocking and more depressing and disgusting.

@@x0gucx it makes sense that he raped casca as a form of revenge. he was completely abandonded by guts and the gang for over a year and griffith blames guts for his suffering. then griffith gets rescued by the same dude that got him into this situation. and to rub salt on the wound, casca was with guts. griffith had nothing left. his gang was doubting him, he was a cripple for life, he could not talk, he could not swing a sword. he had nothing and gained nothing after being tortured for a year. so he got the chance to get his dream fulfilled and he took it. he enacted his revenge on guts for leaving him and stealing his position. its disgusting, but it makes sense that he did what he did.

For the Mileena question, after playing MK1 story mode it’s not as much of a risk as it was anymore Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t played the story mode, Mileena’s Tarkat is shown to have a treatment that temporarily keeps her symptoms dormant plus she’s now good instead of evil she’s shown to be apologetic after she gouged Kenshi in the eyes, sure she might have a disease that has yet to have a cure but as far as we’ve seen she’s had people come into close contact with her and they haven’t shown signs of contracting it🤷🏽

For me, characters with most plot armor: 1st Ichigo: mostly the because the same points you brought up, but also he just so happens to have the power of like 3 different kinds of species just by chance. 2nd Naruto: Large chakra reserves, has strongest tailed demon whose power he can tap into, and also a reincarnation of a god, mastered sage mode quickly and more efficiently than pretty much everyone, despite being propped up as a talentless kid initially. 3rd Luffy: Has a broken and ridiculous devil fruit. 4th Goku: Is a saiyan, known to be the strongest kind there is. Interesting that you put Luffy second tho, you mentioned that you judged based on what the characters do when they’re back is against the wall right? I always thought Luffy for the most part earned his fights, a good example would be the Rob Lucci fight I’d say. Though idk, my memory pretty hazy with these characters so maybe I’m missing somethings.

I want to throw my opinion in here. I think One Piece fans (NOT ALL OF THEM, just the vocal minority on Twitter) are unhinged sometimes. Let me explain. 1.) Any time an anime fandom is mentioned on Twitter, there is going to be that one person who comments: “Luffy solos entire verse” or “your favorite series is trash, OP clears” or “mangaka is garbage, Oda could never.” As he said, we get it, you like the show but nobody asked. 2.) They switch up so fast. One moment they’ll be riding Oda’s dick like he’s the second coming of Christ, then the next they’ll be threatening to kill Oda because he confirmed a character was a woman (or something), just because it doesn’t fit their headcanon. I don’t understand. And like I said, that’s NOT all OP fans out there, just the very vocal minority. But as we all know, every fanbase has bad actors so the real answer is that every fandom is toxic.
