Both did amazing versions. Adele’s version is someone who love and ready to let go. Bruno’s version is someone who still hoping for a chance and still hanging on and not ready to let go.

They are co-writers. So, your point is invalid here. This is a goodbye ballad, and her version shows better that emotion always. Only the channel choose a bad perfomance of her since she was struggling with the nodules on the throat.
