You can, but what they mean is that it is much harder, since you can't clutch kick, thus you need much more power. And also a lot of automatic boxes upshift when you hit the limiter and basically ruin the whole drift.

nope, if the wheels are spinning and no traction controll is on its gonna bang on the rev limiter intill it gets to speed
@vicariousclouds23403 жыл бұрын
@@EhoenChoi You're correct and incorrect at the same time. It would shift if it was in "D". The vehicle speed sensor would sense both wheels are at speed and would attempt a second shift. So you are correct that it would bang on rev limiter, but incorrect that it would completely lock out being in "D". Ethan is correct, its more than likely in first or second as most Toyotas are simple at this year, 1 2 D N R P, bottom to top. I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, the SC300 and 400 didnt come with front wheel speed sensors, they came with either a transmission speed sensor or a rear diff. I forget which platform they used for the SC, been a few years at the least. Again - could be wrong on this one completely, take with the grain of salt that its worth.

@@logoword it is bullshit, but you consider it a form of oversteering (power-slide/ tail whipping). Hondas will oversteer, when going faster than normal speeds. Which causes a lot of crashes, way more than any other reliable car out there.

@@mrpotat680 yes, most have a low and a drive gear. Doesn't equal "manual" shifting them lol. And even the ones that have the stupid sport shifting, those usually just keep in the selected gear for a higher rev before shifting giving the illusion of manually shifting. I am speaking on most passenger cars. I am not including specialty vehicles and sports/super cars.
