Why is no one referencing Patrick Kane as a free agency pickup? His addition is huge

@@jamison1010 yeah in this video, but largely it’s not mentioned this is the first time that I’ve seen it

It was talked about quite a bit earlier this summer - but he resigned with the Wings back in June so it's kind of old news at this point. He's also not really seen as an offseason "addition" considering he was already playing for the Wings last season.

@@johnnyapplez4468 Exactly, that's why they aren't talking about it. Is buddy excited about signing the Cat still too?! Cheers

We have seen results every season I’m so sick of people acting like Steve is on the hot seat

I also think that our new goalie from LA Is a def. improvement from last year. Plus , once Danialson or Kasper is the new 2nd line center that will drop compher to a great 3rd line. I am much more confident in this years team then Brian. Yserman will unload everyone he doesn t want after camp and maybe make a trade sometime as well. He s going to pick the cream of this crop . He s not worried about the money as much as Brian would be.

Losing Shayne Gostisbehere will hurt the most this season. It will difficult to replace those points, but if Lalonde can unlock a bit more offense from Seider it could offset the loss. Hopefully Yzerman will find a better second pair option at the deadline. Otherwise i love the Wings forward core... Canadians will certainly be a better team and more difficult to play against.

Both Petry and Seider had more 5v5 points than Ghost. He just had a bunch of secondary assists on the PP. Either Seider or Gus (whichever ends up on PP1) can easily match his point total from last year.

Gust on defence replaces Gost. On def. Kane said he was the best quarterback of the pp in his career. Plus , he is better than Gost. On defence ! Add i Edv. On 2nd pair = all around improvement . Lidstrom, the GR coach and kronwall ALL have said johanson is really good. I expect him to work up to the 2nd pair sooner than later. I think all these bloggers are under estimating him.

From what we know currently: This season DET/BUF/MTL/OTT, in 3-4 years time Montreal will be the best team in the division as they have the best young group and are the best managed team in the division. Buffalo will be on their coattails, Florida and Toronto will still be good. Detroit are the team that I cannot grade down the road. They seem to mortgage some of their future to be better now, a 2 steps forward 1 step back sort of team. Tampa and Boston will be on the wain by then and neither have much in the way of prospects. Tampa have already decided they need to get younger with the Sergachev trade and moving on from Stamkos. Boston are trying to defy gravity and may be looking at a retool/rebuild in 3-4 years. Ottawa seem to be a poorly managed team and I cannot suggest them making the playoffs anytime soon until their trading, drafting and free agent signing gets a lot better.

The Sens have one of the best rosters out of all the Atlantic teams, just look at their top 9 forwards and top 4 D. New coach, first full year of new ownership, Ullmark signing, getting rid of Chychrun, another year of experience for all of their young players, and depth additions (Perron, Grego, Amadia, Jensen, Cousins). If Norris stays healthy and Ullmark can maintain a .905 save percentage or better, I see them making the playoffs this year, although it will be a very tight division. Can't wait for the regular season to start. Cheers
