Outside of the media Darryl is a great guy. He is in my town several times per year with rodeo and is always a class act. Will stop in the middle of buying groceries to chat with anyone that approaches him. Husks said they want the flames to be the hardest working team in the nhl, Darryl started that identity.

@MaximumOvrdrive oh I know he hates media, and that's something I liked about him. I never had a chance to meet him, but everything I've seen and heard shows he's a great guy who just demands a lot out of guys.

Watched this after the first episode of Amazon Prime's Faceoff... This is better. Probably because I'm a die hard flames fan, but man, I wonder what the budget was, really enjoyed this. Bold prediction: The flames finish higher than Tre's Leafs with 85+ points (I think the leafs are going to absolutely fall apart this year. 10+ game losing streak, complete trainwreck.)

God Huska is solid. But Conroy - jeez is he dumb. Just dumb. How can this guy be the architect of future Flame success? Mentioning Hughes and Pettersson to Basha as maybe the first time he saw truly NHL level talent? So I guess Conroy figures Basha did not see players of this level during practices. And each time he throws the discussion with the rookies to Huska, the difference in advice and commentary is obvious. Give Huska the keys - let him build the team.
