Banijay Crime - Crime Documentary

Күн бұрын

After her husband of 20 years left her, Cynthia Castile decided it was time for some changes. She eventually met and married Wayne Chinn, a cruise ship chef, but shortly after, his hidden past started to surface and Cynthia was knee deep in his lies.
A biography about real people who marry their "soulmates", until they learn that the person they thought they married, isn't who they say they are.

Nothing wrong with being a wife and mum. Who better to raise your children than their own parents. The world was a better place in-fact. The problem starts when you don't marry the right person.

@@limboland4103 She didn't say it's a bad thing to be wife and mom. It's bad if you want to be wife so bad you shut down your critical thinking and it's more important for you to be a wife than to live truthful life. I saw both men and women doing this when they are desperate not to be single. They and up with bad people.

Edith Nackers conservative environments are very guilty of this, but even not so conservative circles are guilty too. So many people tend to hold up romantic relationships and marriage as the ultimate symbol of success. They act as though if you haven’t succeeded in life until you’re married. Puts a lot of pressure on people to marry less than suitable partners :(

Edith Nackers perhaps she loves being married, being a partner in a committed relationship. She did nothing wrong, she just overlooked some signs... loneliness can be overwhelming; divorce can shatter your self worth. This creep was a master con man. It’s so nice knowing that your life is just perfect, you make all the right decisions all of the time... Of course you’ve never been deceived, not even once. Stop blaming the victim. SMH.

Never show your loneliness or vulnerability to new people you have just met. There are plenty of predators out there looking for decent people to target. I'd never have told him nobody ever sends me flowers - that gave him an opening. And I'd be creeped out at getting flowers from someone I'd only met once briefly in the work environment. Big red flag - and on a ship where you can't escape when it all goes wrong.

M B sure, but she does really harp on the Wife thing. So many people consider being a spouse to be a higher status. Not for me, thanks! If I enjoy being with someone, I will be with them, and I will keep my own last name, thank you! Just like I gave my daughter my last name. I would have offered to hyphenate, but her dad asked me when I was pregnant (and we’d already broken up), “if the baby is a boy, can he have my last name?” I was so disgusted I told him he had just disqualified himself, by only caring, if the baby is a boy. Gross. TBH, Marriage creeps me out, in general. Even wedding traditions, like the one man (bride’s dad) handing the woman off to the next man’s keeping - just makes me throw up in the back of my mouth, a little bit. No offense to anyone who’s married- I’m just very very pro-personal sovereignty and not being considered any man’s property or chattel or whatever

My own mother is like this. Shes been married 5 or 6 times (i suspect she remarried) its always men who end up initiating things and somehow become abusive because they know she wont leave once they get her to commit. Which is easy. She just always wanted a happy family because she had a terrible childhood and an awful first marriage to my also abusive father. She just felt like a failure all her life. She cannot live without a man. Even her “close friends” say this about her.

"I was nobodies wife again." So, her existence depends on being somebody's wife, a man's wife, no matter who that man is. It's very sad to hear that. Normally a person tends to say I am Mary/ Peter; I am a teacher/ a lawyer but I think a person's existence should NOT depend on being engaged or married to somebody else. I feel sorry for her.
