This is why I do a couple things when I do anything with electronics. 1) Dry fit (multiple times) 2) Cut my wires extra long (wire is cheap and I can always shorten it to the right size later.)

I've had to completely repair my first Saber Forge lightsaber twice due to faulty instructions and one VERY defective(free soundboard after I returned it!😁) soundboard. Currently I'm building an A.S.P. Saber Forge lightsaber hilt! Oh, the trials of winding the wiring harnesses correctly to save space as well as to keep the wires safe!!😮

so, uh, the way you go abt this. as someone who does this sort of thing (build stuff) often, this hurts. every bump in the road derailed you and you lost all momentum. You got really frustrated easily and instead of finding the cause of the issue you blame other things, like the person who designed it and saying stuff will come down to luck, ultimately taking no responsibility for your mistakes/shortcomings. I just wanted to point this out to you because I used to be like this. It’s good to get frustrated, but learn to be motivated by the frustration, you don’t want to feel frustrated, it’s a bad feeling, so be motivated to do better, rather than spiraling into an angry mood

Hey Brother. Let me help you with your saber build. I am watching your videos. You don’t need a resistor for a neopixel on the positive or negative line. You need a resistor on the data line. A 330 or 470 Ohm. You also DO NOT need a a heatsink for neopixels that is for a tri-Crees you are making it SO hard on yourself. Let me help you.
