Blessed be those who believe and have not yet seen..I was married in 1987 and prayed for my son without any answers for 20 years. And not until I broke down one night crying more desperately than ever before, but this time I cried saying: my loving Father my God thank you for loving me and giving me to Jesus. Even if you don’t give me a son, I will still love you and serve you. Because you gave your son as a ransom for me. That was in 2005 and two years later my son was born. All glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ forevermore ❤

These words make you think. Paul Washer truly has the godly wisdom to say things that make us think. THANKS ! Faith... It's a bottomless pit. Help me Jesus to be a woman of faith.

I just stumbled upon this short video & I am driven to tears... I had served the praise & worship ministry in my church for 15 years, until I lost it all virtually overnight... ... now I understand why. It's in moments like these that you can hear these words in your spirit... "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me... I once was lost, but now I'm found... was blind but now I see". 😭😭😭

Hearing this sermon clip makes me want to wrestle in prayer for things I have not yet seen God do. This theology makes me believe that mustard seeds and the smallest motions of faith in prayer and obedience matter to God.

Praise the LORD for these words of Wisdom! I just came through a trial of intense physical pain & begged GOD to take it; after 2 weeks it came to me 🕊 ASK WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO LEARN IN THIS TRIAL! Hallelujah the pain was a blessing to draw me to a higher purpose to trust & be patient for GOD’s timing. DELAY is not DENIAL it is GOD bringing about a higher purpose & sweeter reward if not here then in the Kingdom to Come! Oh what a Savior & my pain deminishes each day AND GOD IS GLORIFIED! The purpose is always to GLORIFY GOD❣️ 🙏🏼🕊🙌🏼🔥

It's rare that someone teaches that faith and the ressurection are linked. I love it! Faith, Hope and Love are directly linked to three specific events: Love is linked to the death of christ on the cross Hope is linked to his burial 3 days and 3 nights (see Acts 2) Faith is linked to the ressurection (see Hebrews 11, 1.Corinthians 15, Acts 17:31) And here you have the Gospel Note: in Acts 17:31 the word which is translated as 'assurance' is in grek pistos, which simply means faith. Its a translation error. I have checkt through various Translations (English, German, Polish, French). The correct translation is only found in the german Luther version

Made me think of the verses: "I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor." (John 4:38, ESV) What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. (1Cor 3:5-8, ESV)

It's also about the Lord, about relationship with the Lord. He assigns tasks, but the basic thing is to know him, have a relationship with Him, walk in righteousness, do right, wage a daily war against sin and flesh. So, He still has to be the focus, all in all, even among the ministries. I can only give to people what I have.

My doubts have been either born of or greatly empowered by self promoting, unjust, never-wrong 'men of faith'. My faith has been strongest when I distanced myself from these folks and it was like moving away from the deck of an aircraft carrier if you were trying to focus and listen for God. Thus, my greatest part in these times was looking away from God to these supposed men of faith. From there, like Peter, the storm began to be all I could see and it has been constant storm so I sank. I will say though that if you are preaching at someone yet not helping then you are not walking in faith or obedience. It takes a special kind of cowardly narcissist to sling themes or scripture at someone drowning yet not lift a finger to help. A lesson I hope I am learning to be what is needed for anyone else needing help. One of my greatest points of focus is to, as John Piper said, never think that this life is all their is. The resurrection is recreation and a great beginning. If I can look to that and the face of God that will then be revealed then like Paul said, these would be but light and momentary afflictions. That's one of the best perspective shifts and what I am praying God will soon bless me and my family with.

Does anybody know who Paul Washer is talking about at the beginning?
@illbehonest11 ай бұрын
The two men who came to my mind who it could POSSIBLY refer to, were: Duncan Campbell or Evan Roberts. Duncan Campbell got to a point where, “He described his heart's condition as 'a barren wilderness' in which he had been 'for years', and felt that he had to make a move from his present situation. This was undoubtedly one of the great crises of his life.” (pg. 42, Sounds From Heaven) Then Evan Roberts, “Roberts did meetings every day except one between October 30th and Dec 23rd. By the end of the year South Wales was ablaze with, according to the Western Mail, at least thirty four thousand converts, although many towns had not sent in their returns. In North Wales there were a few fires, but it was not ablaze. Roberts had a few days at home for Christmas, although they were not restful as many came to see him. After that he travelled again for a little over two months, returning home early in March. On returning home he gave all the money he had accumulated away so that he had no money in his pocket when he went to Liverpool on March 29th. He visited the Welsh community there for almost three weeks and around 750 converts came to the Lord during his stay there.” Yet later it is recorded: “Roberts succumbed to the pressure of his rigorous schedule, and, in 1906, suffered a physical and emotional collapse. He retained his faith though he suffered from depression.”

@@frackon "Sounds of Heaven" by Colin and Mary Peckham (mentioned in the answer above) about the revivals on the isle of Lewis in Scotland - to which was sent the preacher Duncan Campbell (a very humble man) is THE book I recommend to Christians (apart from the Bible of course!). It's so powerful and so moving, so real, so inspiring and so God-glorifying.

I like the sermons where Paul Washer is talking about God. But to me the focus on people is something uncomfortable. No matter how great men or women of faith they are or what reward they get from God, how does that edify me? Those people who were once great as God's hand was with them, but lost belief when they could not feel the hand of God or convert the souls - did they seek God first, irrespective of anything? The differentiator is not feeling or no feeling & still being faithful (yes that is required), but the differentiator is seeking God himself for WHO he is.
@illbehonest11 ай бұрын
I think it is vital to realize that the Bible itself speaks much about these topics...therefore we cannot avoid them. We have 1 Corinthians 1 where a church is idolizing certain preachers. We have Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:10 saying, _But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me._ So yes, some can go wrong bringing up men, but the Bible does, so we don't want to go to the other extreme. I hope this helps...and also, at the end of the day the clip is truly exalting God and debasing man...it is reproving people who make too much of men.
@divyaa15511 ай бұрын
@@illbehonest Yes, my comments were in response to something (a context) that I would have talked about it in private. Besides that I have wondered about these two sides - 1. People/Pastor who are different when 'God's hand' is on them and who sink in unbelief when it's not there. 2. People who idolize those other people/pastors. I wondered if the differentiator is more than staying faithful when there are no feelings/'God's hand' - it is looking to God and what He's done. Can we go wrong when we are trying to know God more, or when our heart's first focus is God and not other things, not even ministry of evangelization in the capacity besides these 2 points - 1) I can only give to others what I have and I want to give to others what I have. 2) In Charles Spurgeon's words (read many months/a year ago so don't remember precisely) - He said when he was ministering to a woman and she cried out of conviction of sin, he felt like an underwater diver who is bringing out pearls for God. [For God]

The 'falling away' is 'christianity'. They began to divide themselves from the followers of The Way, of which Shaul ('Paul') was a ringleader (Acts 24:5 et al). Scripture is about the Hebrew people, nation and faith which YHWH has defined, assembled and molded into His bride. There. Is. No. Other. If you are truly in covenant with Him, then you are Israel. The 'church' is a man made construct, originating as a sect of rabbinic judaism, and going off the rails (The Falling Away) after the First Century. This message likely will fall on deaf ears, blind eyes and dull minds (Isaiah 6:9-10, Matt 13:15, Acts 28:25-27, Heb 5:11), yet it must be put forth and may YHWH use it to bring forth fruit. The Messiah King of Israel Himself tells us to Hear and Obey (Sh'mah) Moses (Torah), but, do NOT do the man made 'rabbinic statutes', because Judah (like Ephraim) puts their own way above The Way. Matt 23:1 Then spake Yahushua to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Acts 28:22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against. 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of יהוה, persuading them concerning Yahushua, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. There is no understanding of the Apostolic letters without knowing, understanding The Holy Scriptures. The Hebrew Scriptures (TaNaKh - Torah, Nevim and Ketuvim) were the ONLY SCRIPTURES referenced, until the 3rd Century A.D. At no time do any of the Apostles quote or reference each other, only indirectly, as the apostolic letters are comprised of (just) over 50% from the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). In summary, 'gentile believer' is an oxymoron. There is no such thing. You are either grafted into the Whole House of Israel or you are a heathen/gentile. John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? These seducers who deceive and bring in 'damnable heresies' (II Peter 2), ie christianity, rabbinic judaism and islam, which covers about half the population of the planet, these are the MANY and definitely NOT the 'few who find the narrow path' (Matt 7:14). II Tim 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Yahushua the Messiah. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of יהוה, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of יהוה may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Be not deluded into trusting religious mantras, the plain and simple meaning of the Word cannot and will not contradict the deeper meanings, and vice versa. When our anointed King Yahshua COMMANDS us to hear and obey Moses, He means it literally. When He stated that the Torah cannot be diminished in the slightest, He means it literally. He tells us it will stand (in physical creation) until the Heavens and the Earth are renewed. He means it literally. When He tells us that He cannot do ANYTHING which our Eternal and Unchanging Father in Heaven has not given Him to Do or Say (Deut 13), He means it literally. There is no bumper sticker, swiss cheese or participation trophy theology which can contradict the simple and straight forward message which we have heard since the beginning, in paraphrased summary, Trust that I am all that I have said that I am, that I Will do all that I have said I Will do and Obey Me. IOW, love, honor, cherish and obey - YOUR 'I do' to the marriage covenant, whether the first or Renewed covenant, the stipulations do not change, just as the Creator Who offers the covenant.
