Whilst they're the same character, both actors are playing different versions of him to the point it's unfair to compare them. They're amazing in their own ways and truly represent their respective versions of Kratos. Carson's Kratos really shows how vengeful, young and rageful he sounds whereas Judge's sounds intimidating, demanding of respect, and has this sense of wisdom

I think they both are rock solid. Because the way the characters are portrayed. The first one is more about vengeance so needed a bit of rebellion in the voice. The second is more about protecting his son, so it needed calm.

I actually love both. Carson’s voice brought the youth and vengeance for younger Kratos that was very needed to tell the story of his earlier life, while Judge brought the age and mildness of a man who’s done and seen too much, lost too many that he loves, but still has life left to pour into his son who is the last loved one he has.
