I had to laugh at that!!!! He also tried to help her with the one she asked the audience by making her say it in a sentence because only one sounds right in a sentence.

@@zeaferjones1404 They basically always give the first answers up to $1k as freebies. He actually threw her off by saying "final answer?" which he doesn't normally do on those early questions and she knew that. That's why she ended up using the lifeline. But once you show uncertainty of the answer then he has to ask, at least thats how it seems. It was basically a freebie question that she completely overthought.

Watching this episode again makes me enjoy it that much more without going back in time. Dana's mannerism, speech and vocabulary is definitely what most people use now. Apparently from 2000 onward the people are very much the same and feels like nothing has passed. Don't expect anyone to say the word "bale" in the 70's or 80's.

1:29 it should have been Ed Toutant (rest in peace), as he was given a flawed $16k question. He was later brought back to restart from the $16k level and ended up winning his would-be top prize of $1.86 million. SPOILER FOR LATER IN THE SEASON: This erroneous question cost them an extra $1.18 million for the $2.18 million that Kevin Olmstead would end up winning. Had they given Ed the chance to finish his run sooner, they'd not have had to pay a second jackpot above $1 million.
