Thank you so much for this. I knew the 'light' version of her story. But no so much as this. Wonderful video! What a way to honor a hero!

She was a true hero, I highly recommend the book if you want to learn more. I couldn’t put it down - even though some parts of it are really tough to read considering what she had to go through

What an extraordinary woman. It must have been a truly horrific time for her during the war. How incredibly brave she must have been to endure so much. It brought tears to my eyes listening to her story which you told so well, thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. It was quite difficult to read, I had to take breaks because it was so sad and terrifying. At the same time, this is such an incredible story and I am so surprised her story is not being told more often, I just had to share it

Hello Liz, thank you so very much about Catherine Dior. I knew it was named after her but did not know how much she went through. She certainly was brave and I cannot imagine the kind of things alot of people went through during WW2. I just had a thought....I hope it is ok to share here. I just finished watching the High&Low; John Galliano movie and his fall from grace after he said some antisemitic comments. I know he was drug fuelled etc...but just by saying those terrible things would have been quite an insult to Catherine and by connection house Dior and what they stood for during that time. just my humble opinion being a fashion pleb.

Thanks for your comment. I think her story definitely deserves to be told more. Regarding your thoughts on Galliano - I’d love to elaborate this but I assume that the algorithm would not be favourable… How did you find the documentary?

@@PinkLookbook Interesting documentary, it was very well done. I enjoyed watching alot of the snippets of the shows. But they showed video of him ranting those anti semitic comments, he was completely off his face ( as we say in Australia). He seemed remorseful but also incredibly scarred from his childhood and I must say I am so surprised at how naive he is as a person. There's a lot to say...but I still need to finish dissecting it with my friends who went. ANyways, keep up the good work...ps a few of us got to know your channel through @SuperDacob's channel.
