I miss the track suites! Mine weren’t cropped. & I wore them with bright white tennis shoes. It was so comfy. & I loved wearing the mesh tops. Y2K was started because they “thought” something would happen to the technology when it hit 2000. I remember having my 10th birthday and my cake was y2k themed. A great time to be a child. Hi Liz, I am bit late to this video. But first, I know nothing about Indian garments apart from the sari. Or the occasions for which they are worn. But I DO know that I love Indian textiles. I think they are the most beautiful in the world. The garments shown here are exquisite! The fabrics are precious! That said I also love some of the jewelry. I know the gold pieces are near priceless. Especially when for a wedding. But I also love the anklets that sound like little bells, and some of the beaded pieces. I used to love some of the simple boho style dresses made in India in the 80s. Which are nowhere near as extravagant as what you have shown here. But just the same, still pretty. Thank you for the content. ❤

I was always more interested in fashion than watches but when I visited the museum in Geneva and saw how delicate some watch designs were for women, I was really amazed. There was a beautiful accessory which looked like a rose and inside the bloom, there was the clock.

Women are on average better CEOs than men. Men will run your company into bankruptcy, after ruining the quality by wringing every cent out if it like an equity management firm, then move on to ruin the next company two years later. Men like to do this to cosmetics and fashion companies.

I live in BKK and recently I went to LV for lunch (weekday). I found a table without reservation (place almost empty) and I had standard food at outrageous price. The greatest disappointment was dessert. Mandarin Oriental Cafe', Paul, TWG, Sukhotai Hotel cafe', Kempinsky Hotel Cafe' etc. are much better in terms of food, service, quality and price. I went to Prada Cafe' in London and Milano: it is a completely different story ( I mean much better ). LV Cafe' in BKK is good only for selfies.

To be honest, I really hate everything Emily and Mindy wore this season. I only like the two Vivienne Westwood pieces as well. And Lily Collins looks way too gaunt. But yes, Sylvie always looks chic. PS. About the Rome hair. I am a hairstylist, and I have NO clue what they were doing! 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Thank you for an interesting point of view video. I love the fantasy of the show and seeing Paris and Rome in this season, and I am definitely old enough to know that this is all fantasy and unrealistic. Your video did surprise me, particularly this part about the impact on education and that is where I almost feel that perhaps there should be health warning attached!😂I would love to know who is the main audience in age group, it feels quite nostalgic of sex in the city.

I think it's on base with the classic Hollywood, especially Audrey Hepburn. In Sabrina, she's the daughter of the chauffeur, yet her collaboration with Givenchy on not only that movie, let alone the others, would make no sense with the outfits she wore. Funny Faces is probably the only movie that makes even remote sense due to the plot line. I guess it's more fantasy than reality. The outfits are merely a backdrop. Also, Emily in the Ringard era wore imitation clothing, offending Pierre Cadault. So clearly she's in favor of shopping knockoffs and admits it was the "only thing her and her friends could afford." I would simply chalk it up to fantasy, not really trying to be real. The French stereotypes are exaggerated in much the same way.
@jaycole260820 күн бұрын
I do agree, as far as accuracy it's not even close. Her apartment cost for example in Paris, whew.
@PinkLookbook19 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing this comparison, that’s actually really interesting. As you say, a lot of it is fantasy, which, in itself I wouldn’t mind too much. I think my issue is more with the crazy amount of product placement. I thought about the Devil Wears Prada - also, insane amount of outfits and brands - but it didn’t feel as forced or overwhelming as in Emily in Paris
@PinkLookbook19 күн бұрын
Yeah, that lifestyle in general but then she waits to pay for flight tickets herself and always lets the guys pay for her 😂 except the last trip to Rome, I think she paid herself
@jaycole260819 күн бұрын
@@PinkLookbook Yeah the product placement has gotten crazy. They don't use "real brands" in the products their Savoir, etc marketing team works with. Too much control from the fashion industry giants. But that doesn't stop them from putting some element of them in EVERY outfit lol. I do like the fact that the outfits (pattern blocking crap from season 3 aside) probably generate more interest in fashion designers you would never otherwise hear from. But the big boys pay the bills I guess. Great videos btw.
@1310sa20 күн бұрын
I enjoyed this video so much! I haven’t seen the rest of season 4, but if the story is anything to go by, I’m happy to skip it 😅. I will watch it for the fashion, though. I agree with so much of what you said - it’s very over the top but loved the few outfits you mentioned. I also think that Emily just doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who could make these fashion choices. The outfits wear her and not the other way around. Mindy, on the other hand, strikes me as a true lover of fashion and wears each outfit (as wild as they can be) so well.
@PinkLookbook20 күн бұрын
I agree with your opinion on Emily, it doesn’t feel natural and as crazy as Mindy‘s outfits are, she somehow pulls them off 😜 thanks for your comment!
@JowelleDfouni.HappyArt17 күн бұрын
Yes, I agree as well. Mindy’s character is this artist from a a wealthy background and extravagant personality so her outfits make sense. However, Emily’s character is the sweet girl next door who never even travelled to Europe before Paris so her style should be toned down a bit to make it believable. With Carry Bradshaw it worked because it did fit her character. I think they nailed it with grateau and her timeless chis pieces and Camille is spot on with her old money style. With Emily it doesn’t make sense forcing her to be carry Bradshaw. Also I get how all the fashion is very expensive but in the show they don’t mention it so we can assume it’s normal fashion brands. In sex and the city it was more believable as all 4 women were in their mid careers and successful and when Carrie had her financial problems, it was pointed out how she spent all her money on shoes and now she doesn’t have a place to live. But anyways , the show did great with Camille and Sylvia!
@KetchiAmandala13 күн бұрын
@@JowelleDfouni.HappyArt Agreed with you most of the way, but going to disagree with you on how it was believable that Carrie could afford all of her expensive clothes. I've been living in NYC since the late '90s and also worked at a newspaper. She wrote one column. One column would barely pay the rent let alone buy her Jimmy Choos. Also rents have always been high here. She lived on the Uppper East Side, which was considered to be one of the most expensive neighborhoods at the time. Hell, even the apartment they actually filmed it at is actually in the West Village (another one of the most expensive areas in the city to this day). Me and my friends all loved the show, but always laughed at how unrealistic her lifestyle was. "And Just Like That" is the most realistic because she got millions after Big dies and so makes sense that now she's finally living in housing that matches.

It’s not even fun to watch. It’s tedious, silly and the outfits are ridiculous. Besides, if you’d been to Paris and Rome you know they don’t look like the way they are shown in the show. It’s all a consumerist fantasy. Paris is dirty, messy, overcrowded and Rome even worse…

hi there, its actually written there on the website itself clearly stated that there are 3 different types of reservations, 1) The visionary exhibition 2) the LV cafe 3) the Fine DIne inside LV the place. 1) Visionary exhibition is free and you can book it anytime you want, alot of slot space and just little queue required, no issue on that. 2) Le cafe is already fully booked till next year, and its a 2 months queue booking in advance, everything is online and stated in the same website. i had the same thought as you at first, perhaps after the exhibition i could get a coffee in the cafe, but as you read clearly , its a totally separate thing. hope this clears up for you !
