I loved your quick video on Patmos. I wrote a novel on St. John's banishment, called Patmos. I found an account, written by Prochorus (Acts 6:5), one of the seven deacons, along with Stephen and Nicholas, recording John's life on Patmos, miracles performed, the start of the church there, and more. The Revelation does not even appear until 3/4 of the way through the novel. Patmos is totally intriguing to me. Love it.

I'm looking at beautiful Patmos Island and I am wondering how in the world did John come up with such a nightmare horrifying vision of planet Earth's total destruction ? The best part is Revelation 21, the part of New Jerusalem Cube Space Ship, colony space ship coming to Earth and rescuing many people, and earth life, and taking it all to a New planet under a new star (probably Orion Nebula less than 1,500 light years from Earth). It's a shame Earth & Solar System gets destroyed, but the trip to the new planet should be fun for everyone on board, provided they have proper shielding from cosmic rays and protection from trans-dimensional space-time travel.

I love learning all I can about Patmos, even with your silly puns. One based-upon-the-true-story book that well covered John persecuted by Rome, including being boiled in oil, yet surviving unharmed, is the book . It is a Biblical Novel that covers John's arrest, appearance before Domitian Caesar, being poisoned, (he didn't die), being boiled in oil, (he didn't cook), then hastily sent to a penal colony in Patmos where he eventually received the Book of Revelation. Also, most people do not know how John established a new Christian church there, plus was used by Jesus for many miracles. It's a very good book if you want to know more about John on Patmos.

The apostle john died before christ did, his death is very well documented. Christ even said So if anyone tells you, "'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it." Furthermore he cannot be the writer of revelation, he was already dead, and the gospel dates FAR after the death of christ, it doesnt make any sense man. So much contradiction. It says john the Baptist was beheaded and his head was put on a tray, christ supposedly even had to take time to mourne his cousins death. John was dead. Even early church fathers testified in a hearing that revelation was a forgery and a fake. John did not survive being beheaded, unless things in the new testament were fabricated and if so then the new testament is not reliable what so ever.
