Would be more interesting to know why he had that name. It`s said that Ivar got the name in Ireland`? That they could not feel his bones. Either he was Gracile build Or didn`t break his bones under a test. Or he had layers of muscles and fat over them?

The old one, in Sweden, the House of Vasa, which is now extinct. The current royal family is French, descended from a Bonapartist general and revolutionary, Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte. I guess there could supposedly be some viking in there, they must've married some local nobility at some point after all.

@Thelma Lynne calm down, you were wrong. I spelled it jarl, but I transliterated it as "yarl" to get the proper pronunciation across. It wouldn't do much good to say "jarl is pronounced 'jarl,'" like imagine saying "Worcestershire is pronounced 'Worcestershire'." It's ridiculous. Earl and jarl are related, but he was saying 'jarl,' not 'earl.' I even put "yarl" in quotation marks to differentiate it to minimize confusion

I actually descent from the Jelling Dynasty back to Ragnar Lodbrog. He set his ships from Ribe/Esbjerg of South Jutland. There is a lot of loose ends here about Sigurd Ormiøje. I have the heir tablets I can send you. Many foreigners don't understand our Scandinavian culture. The Jelling Dynasty was depending later on the Hvide Slægten 10/11/12/13 Century and then comes Gyldenstjernerne/Gyldenstierne (The Golden Paths/The Golden-Stars=Depending on the Nordic Spelling at the time) in branches from Hvide and Galen descent they came later and spreads to help the Kingdom of Sweden against the Danes who owned most of the populated land and we had Norway at this time also. While they stayed in Denmark while their genes spread into the upper ancient nobility of Scandinavia. I also have blood from certain prominent blood of Norway and Sweden. But Saxo Grammaticus was taught by my ancestor Skjalm Hvide (Jarl of Sjælland) AND his sons Asser Rig and his son Axel/Absalon who founded the biggest city of Copenhagen while Espen Snare Hvide was founding Kalundborg and Roskilde even before this with other members of the Hvide Slægten. Also called the King killers or the White clan. the most influential clan of the North. Palnatoke/Toke Trylle (Stamfader/Forebear to the Hvide Slægten) He killed Harald and Stig Hvide from our clan killed later Erik the king in the medieval times. So they killed at least two kings and but also raised kings of the North like Knud/Canute. This line goes back to Gorm den Gamle and his line goes almost back to Ragnar Lodbrog. I can access all Nordic information on this, and have read and visited all the original Viking sites of Scandinavia and North Germany (Before 1864) a part of Denmark. I have too much to say here. But I have many theories of this, well-based with even more informative information and my own ancestry traced back to year 800 circa, as a navigator for my desire to learn of my ancestry. I don't think like other men here in the North. Only a few I see eye to eye with. Regards Jarl Birk Hvide Gyldenstierne.

@@richiep566 Heil. I know the art of SEID as we call it. It´s not limited to Norway or the term Norse? We call it also Nordisk Mytologi = Nordic Mythology and not Norse Pagan or Mythology. Most things in Scandinavia is referred to as Nordic and Norse its a later derived term in this context. Norway was mostly Danish if you look at the 800 + years altogether of occupation and fallen below the Danish Throne all the way to Kalmar region. Norway was free in 1814 and Iceland in 1944. Seid is what we call Trolddom. Norse comes from the North Sea and plunders of France were called men of the North Sea = Norsemen (Danes of Jutland out to the North sea was the first to conquer and then Norsemen from south Norway mostly) It`s funny you spell magic(k) with K its the Crowley way of spelling it. Anything, in particular, you want to know about Magick?

My great grand ma and great grand pa were told me that "viking" ( alias dwarf creatures) my slave. What is the correct statement? "1. Slave... 2. Or workers in farm area ( ie: vegetables, fruits, etc), then they go for war. Nobody requested them for war. Dwarf creatures were have something to do. fight the troll creatures". Workers tho, isn't it? Because farmers were never disturbed dwarf creatures. "Slavery" word source was came from "tiran". No tiran generations over here. Tiran/chinese/japanese/korean were too lazy for farming in farm land. Those creatures were sourced of slavery methods. Real story/experience: Dwarf creatures were inned war. Maybe versus troll creatures. Many dwarf creatures were died in farmer's farming area ( ie: vegetables, fruits, etc). The farmer saw the death creatures ( dwarf creatures). Then the farmer was used his skill by bring them all back to alive again ( skill, sample sketch in art reference: irowiki.org/wiki/Resurrection ). Then the dwarf creatures help the farmer for harvest. The dwarf creatures got their own stuffs from harvest results. Then the dwarf creatures went for war again.
