It's #1 in the NHL in loose pick battles, not the team. Also #1 in efficient zone entry in the NHL. At 18 that's ELITE!

#1 in the league for puck battles

Both are really good players but for me Celebrini is the one

I'm hearing so much of this comparison lately. I don't think it's really a thing you can compare, honestly. Bedard is having a bit of a bad year, he's not getting much help from his linemates at all. He'll be fine, though. The kids can flat play. I don't think Celebrini has the same offensive ceiling. I'm 5 years, he'll be a point per game player, he might hit 100 points once or twice. Bedard is more likely to be perennial Rocket trophy type. The rest of the game, though? Defense, faceoffs, board battles, getting to the dirty spots on the ice and fighting for space out front, Celebrini has bedard beat by a mile at this point. I think that continues. He's also just 100% concentrated work ethic. His motor is absolutely unmatched, and I'd be willing to bet that same energy is in the locker room and the gym with the boys. Kid's a leader.

He’s at a .85 ppg pace as a newly turned 18 year old on a bad team, you’re genuinely out of your mind if you don’t think he’ll be perennial 100+ point player 💀

@Bridgywood People just keep spewing the same opinions based on no evidence that his offense isn't good enough to be a 100+ point player. Bedard has shown nothing that he will be compared to Celebrini
@danmoore167812 күн бұрын
@@Bridgywood I think right now, he's going off in large part because if he doesn't, nobody will carry the offense. He seems happy to win battles and create turnovers and not care who scores off of it, though. It's how you win games for your team, but it's not necessarily going to be points for Celebrini when we have more talent around him. For example, today, he got an assist in Walman's first goal. That assist was far more about separating a guy from the puck, finishing his check, and creating the turnover. He got an assist too in this instance, but he doesn't have to be touching the puck to help the team win.

I agree with you it’s the other facets of his game that impress me the most. Who knows maybe he will end up elite

Hockey psychology just made a video about celebrini, and he is not only number one on his team, but number one and other very high spots too, in several categories in the entire NHL ahead of McDavid etc.

It’s really going to hinge on which team handles the rebuild better. I think Bedard will have better stats in long run but I think Celebrini has the potential to win more meaningful games/championships with his type of game.

San Jose needs a cup for that statement to be valid, of which they have none.

@ huh??? You know we’re speculating here right? And that Bedard has won zero cups in the two years since he’s been in the league…right???

People saying celebrini will be better than bedard merely cause of recency bias. We don’t have yet any evidence he will or won’t.

IMO Bedard will be better offensively, Celebrini better defensively. Both are gonna be superstars but I think Celebrini's gonna have an easier time being high-impact consistently.
